Day 8 of flowering...

Hey guys I am at day 8 of flowering and all of my plants have about 6-8 pistils at each noe and are clearly flowering.

I read somewhere that you are supposed to use bud builder in week 5 of flowering but the guy at my local hydro store says to use it at week 2 and then stop until week 5 when you use it a second time and then stop and eventually flush and harvest.

Can anyone tell me if it is ok to go ahead and start using the bud builder in week2 or should i wait till week 5?? I also want to get some molasses . What week does the molasses need to be applied??

ANY HELP PLEASE AND THANKS A MILLION!

I would wait till your buds really start to show and that is around week 4-5. I never used a bud builder but I do use molasses. I don’t really have a schedule for it but I started around week 5 and use it prob once a week with no ill effects or noticeable changes to the plants or soil. It may be doing something but I prob won’t know till harvest and first smoke if I used too much. I would just stick with your normal flowering fertilizer till you get to week 5 then try some of these things.

I think you are good to go ahead.

What EC did you commence bloom at?
What EC are you at now?

I started bloom at EC1.2ish, then went to 1.3 and today 7th/10th day for my blooming plants I've commence using Big Bud as part of their feeding. at EC 1.4. I've found that the products I use aid particular development. In my case, Big Bud will assist with further pistil and initial resin production... I will switch to over drive much later in the bloom phase and cut out Big Bud. This will add density and good calyx development toward the end. I'm at the same stage in bloom as you are. It would be good if you started a grow journal and compared your results with my journal... Do you have a camera to add pix?
