Here are a few more pictures taken at lights on this morning. Nothing out of the norm to report with feeding or water intake. I'm FINALLY starting to see her pack on the trichomes. I guess it's strain relevent. I see new calyx swelling and pistil retraction almost hourly it seems. I like the daily updates. It gives everyone a front seat view to the subtle changes that you can't normally pick up or see with 4-5 days between updates. So here is day 51 bud pornography. I hope you like. Feel free to comment!! Peace. :leaf:

Hey bro she's looking good.
Those colas must be getting heavy.
I notice you use the plant tie stuff, good stuff.
I use it along with bamboo in the pots to support the buds. (Soil remember)
I had a mini disaster saturday morning. Lost power for ten hours.
My flowering plants ended up with four and a half hours of extra darkness beacuse of it. My 24/0 veg lights were off the whole ten hours the power was out.
I did manage to chop a plant earlier in the day, before the storm killed the power.
I hope you don't mind me posting a couple of pics.
Notice the plant twine and bamboo. The bud pics were snapped after 12 or so hrs
of drying. Just to see them up close, in normal light.
Keep up the good work. The end is getting closer

I know the stress a storm can bring. When Hurricane Irene came sailing up the East coast, we lost our power for almost 23 hours. Your pictures are awesome Probo. Those nuggets look oh so tasty!! I officially started flushing this morning. I figure another 2 weeks and she should be finished.

:leaf:Ok kids, here is my daily update with some new pictures. I officially started her flush this morning. I didn't flush out the rez...yet. But plan on nothing but water from here on out. When she slows up drinking her H2O, I'll flush the rez. She's pretty much on cruise control. I'm seeing tons of explosive calyx swelling, and alot of trichome production. All trichs are still crystal clear. The buds are odd shaped as individual calyxes bulge out at various places on the buds. Here's the pictures. I hope you like. Feel free to leave comments, Positive and negative remarks are welcome/ Peace :leaf:

woah. I think you are jumping the gun with the flush. You still got so many white pistols. Just my opinion.

I'm glad you suggested that. I really wasn't sure about the flush yet. But hearing it from a veteran grower helps alot! Thanks Jig. How much longer do you think to go yet? I notice the calyxes are swelling up all over the buds sites. They have taken an almost, grotesque appearance. I guess I expected the calyxes on each bud to swell in unison, which is definitely not the case. Again, thanks Bro!! Peace.

I agree, you have some more time before you should start the flush. Once you see the trichs go cloudy/amber flush! When you flush, do you put them into darkness?

I'm on the fence about the 3 day light depravation thing. Is it really worth it?

sexy as a mother fucker mate keep it up bro...
Yes, her sex glands are swelling with anticipation. she's such a dirty girl.....

Is that really a trait??? Seriously?? I mean the pistils being sex starved in a messy frenzy? Or is that just your interpretation description? :leaf:

I suppose that it depends on your circumstances, and strain. The lights out can cause them to go for a last ditch effort to resin up for the hopes of being pollinated, that is the whole reason that they live and produce those nice sticky frosty buds is for the hope of being pollinated. There is of course a time period to which you have to abide, to long, they degrade... I have read 72hrs is sufficient for the start of flower and the end of flower. The start is to help kick start the pre flowering phase.

It definitley makes sense. The plant goes into panic mode and increases trich production, which is the plants last ditch attempt to procreate. That's awesome. Ha! I am so stoked for the finish. Don't worry. I have patience and some Papaya to keep me from snippin' too early. I waited this long, a few more weeks of flower and the correct dry and cure will make it all worth it. Thanks so much for your input. How are your 2 plants? Did you get a handle or the mold issues? My DWC is 18 gal and I only have my 1 plant in it. It sags a little with only one, I can't imagine 3-4 more plants, of the same size as the bush, in my tote. If I did, I would reinforce with with a pc of 1/4" plywood. I hope all works out, especially for as far in as you are! Peace.

My only thought on turning the light off for so long is this. In my grow room (closet) the humidity can get pretty high when the lights are off. If the plants were in this high humidity for 3 days I would worry about mold. For me it's not worth the extra little bit of resin to risk losing a bunch of bud to mold.
