Day 32 of Veg, Should I Flip?

This is my first grow. Today is day 32 of veg. I put them under 18/6 as soon as the sprouted from peat pellets. I have 2 Blueberry, 2 White Widow and 1 Cali Orange in a 5x5 tent. (The WW in the solo cup took a very long time to develop because her husk was stuck. I performed some minor surgery around day 15 or so and got it off. She was very ugly and deformed until recently. I will probably keep her in veg and up-pot her while I flower the others.)

I keep the heat on around 76-78F during light hours and drop it to basement temperatures (central AC) at night. (Was told this will cause the bright colors on the BB plants??) I keep the humidity at around 65-70% at all times. (Should I be adjusting this at certain times?)

These girls were SO short and bushy that last night I decided to trim, defoliate, prune whatever you wanna call it. I know it was risky as a first grow but these fans were HUGE. I also decided to try my hand at fimming 2 of them. I thought I screwed up and was worried about it until I opened the tent this morning and thought they looked pretty good. I did a little bit of LST on 1 of them.

They've been in FFOF since going under the lights. No nutes as of yet. I water when the pots are very light. twice I've let them dry out completely.

I've always kept the light 20 inches from the canopy.

Also, I've been concerned with how short and bushy they are. Reading on here I've noticed people saying to be happy they are short and bushy.

Just looking for suggestions from this point forward.

1 - When should I make the flip?
2- When should I start nutes and which ones?
3- Should I raise and lower the humidity?
4- Should I be raising and lowering my light or keep it at 20 inches?
5- Should I continue to drop the temps at night?
6 - Should I raise the light to give them more stretch?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks all!

1- when they're the size you want them to be. just as a rule of thumb, indicas won't stretch a lot, sativas will stretch quite a bit more, crosses are hard to predict, but usually the more they resemble one or the other, the more they'll behave as one or the other. not written in stone, but gives you somewhere to start. i plan on a heavily indica leaning plant stretching between 20-40 %, and a heavily sativa leaning one to stretch between 50-100% so you have to try to estimate what each strain is going to do, and flip them when they're the appropriate size.

2- you'll need to start soon, when they go into 12/12 and start stretching, they'll need food. i'd feed them something balanced like a 10-10-10 till they stop stretching, then i'd go to something more like 5-5-10

3-i just keep my cool mist humidifier on the same most of the time. i try to keep it 65-70% in the veg room. i may turn it up if the weather is particularly dry, or turn it down if its cold and wet, but 90% of the time, i leave it where it is, and the plants seem to like it.

4- put the light where the plants like it. that's the only real criteria i have. i put it as close as i think i can, then watch. if they seem to be taking it well after 2 days, i may bump it a little closer,if they seem to be getting stressed, i'll back it off a couple of inches.

5- dropping the temps at night will make some plants express color, but it will also slow down growth, and cost you final yield. the color from dropping temps is usually leaves that you'll end up trimming anyway.
if you really want colorful buds, get strains that do it naturally, genetically. you might get lucky with the blueberry pheno you're growing, and it'll express colors without dropping temps.

6- do you want them to stretch more? raising the light will help with that, but genetic predisposition controls it. you can get a short plant to stretch some, but it's never going to be a lanky sativa.
you can make a plant stretch a little more during the stretch by using a higher K light to veg, and a much lower K light to flower.
if you veg under a 6500K and flower under a 3500K, you'll get a lot more stretch than if you veg and flower under a 4000K

if you want opinions, take some pics under normal light, it's very hard to judge under the blurple light

Ok. First if you've only just fimmed or topped you need about two more weeks to let the heads develop. Second, I wouldn't be dropping temps on purpose, the swing in temps should be as low as possible, this cause stretching and less yields, or can do , its strain dependent. Don't do any de foliating yet, they need their leaves, doesn't matter how big the leafs are , worry about keeping them alive, you'll end up causing yourself more problems messing about with them all the time , the best growers will rarely do shit to their plants, the less stress the better. Try get humidity about 50 per, start nutes soon, ff good for about four weeks from what I remember,if your using tap water leave it out for 24 hrs to lose the chlorine. If everything is ok at 20 inches leave it always at this distance, just check your light spread, the shadow on the tent. A bit of stretch is good, just see how you go.

Thanks for the replies guys! Today is day 38 in veg. I've taken your advice and stopped dropping temps at night. The temp is a consistent 75-79F and the Humidity is always between 50-60%. I work a lot so it's hard to keep my small humidifier full all the time. I'm filling it before I leave and after I get home.

I just got the AN pH Perfect Micro-Grow-Bloom 3 part nutes in the mail today and I am going to start using them on next watering (probably tomorrow)

I took a few pics under normal light and was hoping for some input on how they look at the moment. I am planning on making the flip soon.

The first pic, both plants are the same, one is growing completely different than the other???? both Blueberry

Thanks in advance.

Its commonly believed that it would take 6 weeks from sprout for cannabis to be sexually mature. So far, from my experience, at the end of 1st week of flip, I get plenty of pistils showings.

But who knows at what week cannabis mature. If anybody have experience early flowering from plants less than 6 weeks from sprouts, please let us know.

Or...you could flip your grow and let us know if you get flowers at the end of 1st week of flip.

Or...you could veg a week or 2 for higher yield

Those are great looking plants. You should think about going commercial. Nice work.
