It's rooting. Next time use a Dixie cup. Then a 2 quart and then a 3 gallon or whatever.

They don't grow above the ground until roots find boundaries basically. Keep light on it but don't burn it. Be patient , don't overwater and forget about nutrients for a while.

Thanksfor the advice mate ill be sure to do this next run. With it being an auto flower?, ive read to keep it in the same pot from start. Less time for it to recover from stress,or would it be ok. Say i was to grow it in a small pot, how lomg before i transplante?

You didn't state it was an auto in your post. Those do go directly into final container.

Probably has something to do with that multi compost you're growing in. What exactly is in it? Some compost is loaded with manure and bark dust and is meant as an amendment to soil not as a complete growing medium.

My neighbor is part owner of a seed company. He breeds in greenhouses here. He's a huge fan of high CBD plants and of autos.

His method - 5 gallon bucket with holes drilled around the sides a couple of inches from the bottom. No holes on the bottom.

Perlite (rinsed of dust) up to the holes. Coco a couple inches and place a Jobe's Organic fertilizer spike in the center. Fill halfway and place another spike. Fill to the top.

Plant the germinated auto seed directly in and go for it. Obviously very light feed every time at the start until roots hit the spike area. He then still feeds with half strength as you would in coco.

get yourself a starbucks cup, stab a few holes in it, flip it upside down over your little guy there(bumps your humidity)
relax your watering schedule abit. kick your lights back to 18/6. youll start jamming in no time

Those jobes spikes came up in a regular gardening thread I follow, no one has tried them so when I run out of Miracle Grow I'm going to put them out in my Mater's as an experiment.

I've never heard a bad thing about them and they been around forever so they must be pretty good, right ? Do you have any experience with them yourself?

Not yet. He just explained this to me when he gave me some auto seeds to watch his sled dogs while they travel. He's one strange monkey but he grows literally giant black plastic trash bags full of bud.

with autos, most people go into the final pot, and just water lightly around the base of the plant till it starts growing. when growth above ground starts up again, that means it's established some roots, and can take a little more water. they're usually half way done before i ever water the whole pot.

The first stage of growth is root development. How are you pH'ing your water?
Well at the start i was watering with a ph level of 6.7 but read and seen peoples auto grows do abso fine with just tap water? The medioum buffers it?i have the ph down solution its very strong. Tiny wee drop dilutes my water right down. So i was mixing some water an ph dwn to my tap water . i havent ph the water since the first time 2 weeks ago. Been plain tap water since? i really dont knw mate people have lots of opinions and im tryn to copy a guy a knw from youtube. His auto get crazy big. Using tap water then 3 part ghe nutes when the time comes.
