throw away the lunchbox lid, you dont need it
cut the yoga mat in a square slightly bigger than the size of the lunchbox, thats your new lid
cut some slices not quite half way into 2 opposite sides of the yoga mat lid, this is where your clones will sit
cut a slight divit (notch) out of the side of the top of the lunchbox for the hose to go thru.
assemble the hose to the pump and air stone
put ph clear water in lunchbox with air stone, clones into yoga mat, and fire it up
wait a couple weeks for great clones, no need to use any nutes or anything

Grows fine, hasnt leaked yet !
Its DWC not aero, the water comes up as high as the bottom of the roots, there is little spray.
As the roots grow it doesnt matter if the water drops as long as the roots are in it, but that hasnt happened yet, except for a little exaporation.
You only need 2 weeks or so to get clones up and running with roots 5 inches long or so.
I dont use any nutes, just ph 5.5 water.

that mister, walmart? i saw it 4 lil 1's i thought they was stones, can you use those for misting roots?
OR do you use them to bubble water?.

there is no mister.

there is an air stone that makes bubbles with the air pump
you could use it bubbler style but i submerge the stems into the water and use it DWC style

do a search on Deep Water Culture for more information

You took a peice of Foam and placed it on top of a container
Made a slit in the foam and stuck a clone in......
Im not one to hate or anything but its a lil ghetto

Mayb fit the foam into the container so you could lid it?
or do it the right way for like another 3 dollars Look it up on here

you said better for cheaper.
i dont see how you could be cheaper.
yeah its hell ghetto, but it works as well as anything else around, and its cheap.
thats why i like it

Ghetto
Other ways to make it for just as cheap and way more effective
NIcer looking 2

yo johnnydouche............dwc is dwc, no way to make it "more effective" if you are using the same principle of action.

I hate when tards like you knock a guy for doing a process for 8 bucks. Maybe we dont agree with the quality of the product but if dude gets babies to grow for 8 bucks, who cares?

cheap ass and it works

Well, I just stumbled on this thread....and I'd like to give you a REALLY late high five on the improvisation, and for sharing it with the community.

Cheap and dirty is great when it works, and this looks like it does! I honestly don't know WHY it matters whether it looks ghetto or not...

Dude I did it even more ghetto, used some foam off the bottom of a lbs a burger!!! Now im trying to work the kinks outta my DIY aero cloner.

Came together really nicely! Only change I made is I made a slit in the foam for the airlines rather than cut the tub (this way I could re-use the tub for something else later, I mean they included the lids for free!)

The wrench is on there to add weight to keep the mat from curling back up. It came rolled up and I've been battling getting it to flatten out. Once it warms up under the light I feel like it will settle down.

Here's a pic
