Oh goodness; i was praising them. I figured that stoner cultures would take food preparation pretty seriously, as opposed to, say, archery.
Oh Archery definitely benefits from stoneage. Much less boring :0) But, i got what you meant. Ganja cultures even today, gather friends, stay in, and chow down. They invent the most wonderful concepts...like a real number for nothing.

And, Now is the only actuality. And as manly and warlike as anyone. Just not bent on spreading their political philosophy. But, they fought for land and women like normal humans. No one lacked motivation for that.

But, also, gunpowders, trebuchet, astronomy, silk weaving, and fantastic, nail-less joinery. They even had a repeating crossbow. Much of this stuff spread West and became the basis our Western culture. Ganja was nothing really and Opium was a problem. Our Founders were Prime Stoners.

What the hell happened, here?

"Our Founders were Prime Stoners."

Actually, they weren't.
What??? Actually they were. The writing of Jefferson, Washington, and Franklin, all praise the peaceful smoke of hemp.

Someone here has a quote from Jefferson as their .sig.

Why do you say, you somehow know they were not partaking?

Forget your chicken tikka tho, you want curried goat buried in a fire pit with wild basmati rice.

Eaten on the floor (not off the floor ;) ), with your hands.

So sorry to hear that. I know one person that has glioblastoma and it has almost halted the growth with his brain cancer on only 6 weeks of treatment. A few more weeks and he'll have another follow up CAT. It is in an untreatable place in the brain so no traditional treatments, only pain control. So he has nothing to loose.
i too know of success stories once the western meds are cut out, at my local(site) we have lost as many in the last year(all on western

cancer programs) as we have saved in the past few years (all on RSO made by a local MMJ magician) it has been very sad here at times.

with only as few outliers on either side. IDk the problem is cancer comes back if not treated daily, right now we are struggling to keep

few loved ones alive, by kick starting RSO cycles with some 2 to 1(CBD to thc) harlequin RSO made be a breeder here in the NW and by the other

processor mentioned above

its a tough road, hope everyone is getting the help they need

Well, how about this happened?

"...marijuana could now be set up for the death penalty..." Harry Jacob Anslinger

...the man who single-handedly set the tone for 20th-century American attitudes towards drugs, was born of German ancestry in Altoona, Pennsylvania, May 20, 1892.

My friends, this is why it's so up hill. Many have staked their reputation on stamping out the killer weed.

For 32 years (1930-1962) he was the first Commissioner of the US Bureau of Narcotics.

http://www.ecphorizer.com/EPS/site_page.php?page=1249&issue=83

His angst was all racist, german and tinny-pinny syndrome....

Marijuana leads to pacifism and communist brainwashing.
Reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men.
Marijuana is the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind.
...the primary reason to outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races.
You smoke a joint and you're likely to kill your brother.

No Reefer Madness was Harry J's main problem.

From what I have studied, there has been great success in killing cancer cells in lab animals. There is documented evidence that Cannabadiol induces apoptosis and shrinks tumors. However, I read that a lot of treatments are effective in lab animals but not effective in humans. Its very frustrating that trials haven't been administered on willing human participants...... What needs to happen for this to occur? I know the FDA must approve the testing but doesn't the government own patent rights on CBD's? Why does the government hate us?

That's a neat idea, Brah. The weed food stamp program. This could go on for decades. Until we know weed isn't harmful we'll provide addicts with free weed.

Tell the anti-weed people we have shown evidence of bad effects. The pro-side will be given the story more studies which prove cannabis is harmless, progress the cause. While the DEA has their marijuana Bible and will smite the unbelievers.

Sign me up for that weed study. Power to the people!

I just saw the same story (with more comprehensive detail) being featured in the respectable Huffington Post. There's an unfortunate twist in the story, as the doctors don't want to use potent marijuana to extract this beneficial anti-cancer agent - they are developing synthetic versions instead.

Marijuana And Cancer: Scientists Find Cannabis Compound Stops Metastasis In Aggressive Cancers

A pair of scientists at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco has found that a compound derived from marijuana could stop metastasis in many kinds of aggressive cancer, potentially altering the fatality of the disease forever.
"It took us about 20 years of research to figure this out, but we are very excited," said Pierre Desprez, one of the scientists behind the discovery, to The Huffington Post. "We want to get started with trials as soon as possible."
The Daily Beast first reported on the finding, which has already undergone both laboratory and animal testing, and is awaiting permission for clinical trials in humans.
Desprez, a molecular biologist, spent decades studying ID-1, the gene that causes cancer to spread. Meanwhile, fellow researcher Sean McAllister was studying the effects of Cannabidiol, or CBD, a non-toxic, non-psychoactive chemical compound found in the cannabis plant. Finally, the pair collaborated, combining CBD and cells containing high levels of ID-1 in a petri dish.
"What we found was that his Cannabidiol could essentially 'turn off' the ID-1," Desprez told HuffPost. The cells stopped spreading and returned to normal.
"We likely would not have found this on our own," he added. "That's why collaboration is so essential to scientific discovery."
Desprez and McAllister first published a paper about the finding in 2007. Since then, their team has found that CBD works both in the lab and in animals. And now, they've found even more good news.
"We started by researching breast cancer," said Desprez. "But now we've found that Cannabidiol works with many kinds of aggressive cancers--brain, prostate--any kind in which these high levels of ID-1 are present."
Desprez hopes that clinical trials will begin immediately.
"We've found no toxicity in the animals we've tested, and Cannabidiol is already used in humans for a variety of other ailments," he said. Indeed, the compound is used to relieve anxiety and nausea, and, since it is non-psychoactive, does not cause the "high" associated with THC.
While marijuana advocates will surely praise the discovery, Desprez explained that it's not so easy as just lighting up.
"We used injections in the animal testing and are also testing pills," he said. "But you could never get enough Cannabidiol for it to be effective just from smoking."
Furthermore, the team has started synthesizing the compound in the lab instead of using the plant in an effort to make it more potent.
"It's a common practice," explained Desprez. "But hopefully it will also keep us clear of any obstacles while seeking approval."

I hope people realizes this fact of life. The medical research is hot on the cure for Stoned. Get the good stuff and take out the bad. Synthesis is the commercial way to do that. No one thinks we need to get high.

"So, don't get fooled again.... ...The new boss is the same as the old boss." Peter Townsend.

I'm hoping they find the high is infact an integral part of its curative mechanism, without which their cures are ineffective.

It'd be a plant tea-bagging big business.

Imagine this scenario...

AMA Press Release:

"Em I know we told you cannabis was bad, but it turns out it cures cancer. Who knew?"

...not holding my breath? I am hoping like you. But, we know Big Pharm will isolate the compounds and some are promising in the dish. Long way to monkey from free floating cancer cells.

To me this another way to NORML. In the future maybe we can say.. It's just a ditch weed from the dawn of history that has a lot of uses. No big deal if you eat or smoke yourself to sleep. Not harmful.

And it was a foolish set of past ancestors that tried to ban it like alcohol. And that it was a foolish set of circumstances that would let a Prussian racist link his petty penis envy to our cannabis. And that it was an predictable horror to let him run the Bureau of Narcotics for 30 years.

Yeah they were sure stupid in the old days.

Hey, it hasn't even been 100 years yet. I have hope we have found a perceptibly better path.

But, waiting is not denting my consumption. :)
