Dark just before harvest?

When they're ready I switch off the lights and maintain temps but a dodgy back prevents me harvesting in one day so the normal is doing a plant or two every day or second day depending, week between the 1st cut the last isn't unusual and I can't tell any difference.

Flushing at best will empty the plants vascular system it takes 3-4 days if a bluelab truncheon is to be believed, I've total faith in it personally but that's not say it actually makes a difference... Old habits and all :-)

A buddy once told me that chopping before the lights come on keeps the plant from absorbing nutes from the soil again, which is what happens when your plants start photosynthesizing again, they pull water and nutes from the roots and back up into the plant. His claim was that harvesting before your plant gets a chance to do this meant smoother smoke once cured. I never knew for sure myself and was never able to really produce a test that would yield credible data, so all of this may be bro-science. However, if anyone can confirm that value of harvesting plants right at the end of a dark period, curious minds would be grateful.
