Do you follow the rev? Love his book, basing my soil mixes on his teachings. Next run should be amazing as my inputs have tripled over this one. Great plants, btw.
Hello NWO,

Yes I've read his book and integrate what I have learned (good stuff) into my grows.

The girls that were just recently harvested benefited from incorporating his master soil mix into the bottom layer of their pots.

These young ladies currently vegging and being main lined trained are growing in his layered container style of growing. These gals are seriously growing really really nice and healthy.

Not sure what happened on the thread with the pics.

Hyro-mite is not being produced anymore that I know of. I am looking into an alternate medium such as Growstone.
There is another one I am testing side by side with hyro-mite, but I made need to add silica now cause if I go with Growstone which is recycled glass not sure how much available silica in that product.

Glad to have you on-board, let me know how your implementation goes...

Oh I hear a Dab calling me be back soon...

:mrgreen:Just a quick thought here Dank. I've used Red Lava Rock in buckets with great success. I also use them when mixing the soil. Would love some input and a separate test on it while you are looking. It produces excellent root growth. Love those photos.
Hi Smokin,

I've got some grown stone my concern too how much silica available, so I purchased some to add to the water in my reservoir I am not going to soil drench with. Since I use passive hydro I am just going to add straight to that water and test. I will let you know when I expand and have to use the grow stone to do so.

I am so pissed about the Hygro-mite great stuff, damm tree huggers now that got to hug rocks too?

Hi NWO,

I thought for sure I'd see some RH meters on those jars. Nice growing and showing DANK.
I did have them in there, they are all now at 65-60 curing awaying. I just burp em now once in a while mostly to smell that sweet aroma, and visions of dabs then pop up in my head.

PS to control humidity I do not over fill jars.
Also I have 4 plants a jar a plant for tops, 1 jar for all their bottom nugs.

I got a 2x3 area, scrog 2-3 plants, and get ~100g cured bud/plant
Hi Mrwood,

My harvest came out above that, 1.5 times above.

But then I am running 4 plants main lined trained for 8 branches, but I average 6 cause I need to improve my skillz on main lining.
Mostly because on my clones I'll end up with two branches growing slower then the others, so I typically cut those for clones before I put them in PHOGS for flowering.

That is a really interesting hybrid method of growing you have there!

If the soil in the pot is extra hot, how do you get the young vegging plants to grow down through the hot soil without burning? I understand once those roots hit the water below the burning is no longer an issue, but how do they get there in the first place without burning?

Are you saying you never have to water the pots when they are sitting on top of the wet stones?
Do you mix your soil with less aeration materials to maximize wicking?

Its a bit more setup work, but I like what your doing. Personally from growing with nutes, I got extremely tired of mixing things up and having to schedule so much time for my plants. I love it, but you have to be able to have a life at the same time.

well done - always good to have weed!
what does that work out to in grams/Watt? g/ft2?

I track a number of metrics on my small grow, just for kicks.
I ran 4 plants once in my cab, still got 100/plant but better total yield. But my space was too crowded, and I didn't enjoy gardening as much.

Growing more for quality these days, instead of pure quantity - BUT I won't turn down a good yield !
My next grow will be 2x 7-gal smart pots (instead of 3x 3-gal smart pots). It will be interesting to see how this impacts my grow.

Yes, I leave a little head room in the jars. Got to get the RH meter in, and the buds out. I store ~ 1oz/jar.
You may want to consider mason jars. I tried reuse jars, but could not get ALL the odor out, and did not get a seal I liked.
I am now looking into vacuum sealing for mason jars.

Hello, MrWood,

Thanks, say give me the formula so I can reference and plug in my gram total for output.
