What?

If you are on winders, right click the file and bring up properties, then look at the details tab (might be different depending on version). You should see the xif data, or have an option to remove personal information.

Basically your phone will add tags containing the GPS location you took the picture and a lot of other info. You can strip it out in windows, and maybe even on the phone itself with an app.

Most modern websites strip this stuff out when you upload a pic; does riu?

I always strip it regardless. ymmv.

Turn OFF the gps before taking pics......Why do you, oh never mind. damn threads 6 years old.
