damping off and the anxiety of letting the rockwool dry...

Not really a question as I already know what and why, just not how to get past it. First grow got Alien OG because it said hard to kill and so far that's correct.

So I popped the seeds in water then when they popped I put them in rockwool and into a humidity dome and that's were the issues started. When the rockwool would start to dry I would get anxious and want to water it, Ya don't do that I ended up causing my first two seedlings to damp off. So now I think on the third week after they popped they are just getting the second set of leaves but one has nice roots now! the other one not so much trying to let it dry and hope it does something. Now I know all this could have been bypassed by just leaving them alone for at least 2 days or until mostly dry then wetting the starter cube. But how can you sit there and just let it dry out teach me lol...

TLTR stop ranting prob shouldn't smoke before posting....

But really how do you just sit there and let the rockwool dry out you monsters? Please teach me, I feel like I have wasted 3 weeks by over loving my babies. Is that how you do it because you know whats going to happen if you don't let the rockwoold dry out and for the seedling to form proper roots? Do you stand over them and say it's for your own good it hurts me more than it hurts you? Do you?

Just mist the seedlings. And keep the rock wool moist not wet. And open the vents on the humidity dome, or remove it for part or all of the time

Lose the humidity dome - germinating seeds and seedlings need fresh air - not humidity. Just use an eyedropper to keep the rockwool moist.
Thanks MickFoster! Using the eyedropper lets me water kinda so no anxiety but the rockwool is moist but not saturated now. Will see how it works with the roots but defiantly better than whatt I was doing
