damn! plant disease?

On a previous grow my friend had two plants - one bagseed and one high quality jtr. The bagseed stopped growing buds after it had showed itself to be a female, its leaves got really thin, and what were once flowers turned brick hard. The jtr did well so my friend thought it was bad genetics.
Fast forward to his next grow and its happening again. Any ideas?

In the end it was bunk nutes bought off of ebay. Beware of humbolt sellers on ebay...I don't even think they were nutes.

Sweet. If a bagseed germs and sprouts the chances are it will grow just like any other seed. They are all just seeds
