Damn Global Warming....

  1. Pollution is one of the biggest global killers, affecting over 100 million people. That’s comparable to global diseases like malaria and HIV.
  2. Over 1 billion people worldwide lack access to safe drinking water. 5,000 people die each day due to dirty drinking water.
  3. 14 billion pounds of garbage are dumped into the ocean every year. Most of it is plastic.
  4. Over 1 million seabirds and 100,000 sea mammals are killed by pollution every year.
  5. People who live in places with high levels of air pollutants have a 20% higher risk of death from lung cancer than people who live in less-polluted areas.
  6. The Mississippi River carries an estimated 1.5 million metric tons of nitrogen pollution into the Gulf of Mexico each year, creating a “dead zone” in the Gulf each summer about the size of New Jersey.
  7. Approximately 46% of the lakes in America are too polluted for fishing, aquatic life, or swimming.
  8. Americans make up an estimated 5% of the world’s population. However, the U.S. produces an estimated 30% of the world’s waste and uses 25% of the world’s resources.
  9. Each year 1.2 trillion gallons of untreated sewage, stormwater, and industrial waste are dumped into U.S. water.
  10. While children only make up 10% of the world’s population, over 40% of the global burden of disease falls on them. More than 3 million children under age five die annually from environmental factors.
  11. Recycling and composting prevented 85 million tons of material away from being disposed of in 2010, up from 18 million tons in 1980.

If 97% of doctors told any of these climate change deniers they would die unless they took medicine, 100% of climate change deniers would take the medicine You don't understand how science works if you think 97% of the scientists studying the problem could get away with lying to billions of people for decades
1) Retarded argument 2)97% of scientists who think there is a problem. So, you're lying

I'd put up a face palm, but it's not enough. Doran and zimmerman can't even do simple math. Their own own survey breaks out to 94%. And that was on ~80 scientists. (They surveyed way more than 80. Over 3000 took it. Can you say cherry picked?) Cook et all is the latest greatest 97% consensus survey out there(hint: they agree with you) And by their own data, 2/3 of published scientific opinion is inconclusive or GW is not occurring. You believe what you want. You've been informed and can no longer claim ignorance.
Can he still claim stupidity" Or dishonesty?

There is a very good chance that the scientists who read the data and conclude that we have no effect on climate change went to the same university as the 1 out of 5 dentists who recommend sugary gum for their patients. Just sayin'

Deflection.

Deflection.

Uncalled for pathetic deflection

If you haven't figured out by now, I don't give a fuck. You're arguments are weak, tired and not insightful. I have nothing to gain by engaging in serious conversation with you, as it is impossible to do.

Trees create oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide.

Humanity has been killing them for fuel and construction material since........forever.

Even if we never burned fossil fuels, the total change in oxygen producing / carbon dioxide scrubbing organisms on the planet is bound to have an impact on the composition of our atmosphere eventually.

We need more plants IMO.

To be fair, out of 12000 papers, 4 were deemed no.

There is debate about that though. Quite a few scientists whose papers were listed as inconclusive were actually no's.

Im with the vast majority of scientists and say more data please.

"We analyze the evolution of the scientific consensus on anthropogenic global warming (AGW) in the peer-reviewed scientific literature, examining 11 944 climate abstracts from 1991–2011 matching the topics 'global climate change' or 'global warming'. We find that 66.4% of abstracts expressed no position on AGW, 32.6% endorsed AGW, 0.7% rejected AGW and 0.3% were uncertain about the cause of global warming. Among abstracts expressing a position on AGW, 97.1% endorsed the consensus position that humans are causing global warming. In a second phase of this study, we invited authors to rate their own papers. Compared to abstract ratings, a smaller percentage of self-rated papers expressed no position on AGW (35.5%). Among self-rated papers expressing a position on AGW, 97.2% endorsed the consensus. For both abstract ratings and authors' self-ratings, the percentage of endorsements among papers expressing a position on AGW marginally increased over time. Our analysis indicates that the number of papers rejecting the consensus on AGW is a vanishingly small proportion of the published research." http://iopscience.iop.org/1748-9326/8/2/024024/article 32.6% support v. 0.7% oppose 66.4% inconclusive ...97% of climate scientists who have reached a reasonable conclusion, conclude that AGW is responsible. Again.. those numbers do not surprise me at all. That is how science works.
97% of scientists who published articles on AGW believed in it. Big surprise! Those who didn't believe in it didn't bother to publish an article on it. 97% of those who wrote articles about space aliens "probing" them believe space aliens "probe" humans. Yep, that proves it.

Here is the underlying issue. ALL scientists will ask for more data, that is their nature. However, they can draw conclusions to some degree of accuracy [as a percentage], and thus far, the majority have concluded that human caused climate change is real.

Yet, those same scientists, when interviewed later, said either they never said a meaningful part or said they never agreed at all. Your "study" was a sham.

Yet, later that day, they said the studies were all completely accurate.

Could you please tell/show me where you found #7?

A scientist who gets paid to study the climate
So Al Gore is a scientist? He's made hundreds of millions off AGW. Yet he still owns 8 mansions, 27 cars, and three airplanes and uses 200 times as much carbon as the average American. Yes, he clearly believes in what he's preaching.

Except for geologists, astronomers, paleontologists, biologists, chemists, anthropologists, etc.. People who get paid to study the climate are experts, if they weren't, they wouldn't be getting paid to do it. 97% of the experts who have conclusively reached a decision agree that AGW is the cause. At this point, denying it is tantamount to denying the theory of gravity For fucks sake..
It's 97% of the scientists who published an article. Not 97% of scientists. Your statements are false.

But, Al Gore is special...He'll tell you so.

His average monthly electricity bill is in the 10's of thousands. During Christmas season a few years ago, he called out the electric company to have them lay new lines to divert a new node to his property. That made the news.

He is a scum-nugget, and apparently the inventor of the internets. However, that does not automatically negate we should take a close look at what we are doing to the planet, and that many scientists conclude we are adversely affecting the planet. Denying it completely is sheepish.
