i heard from another trusted source (skunk) that you can do a whole grow with just UVA/UVB light. i don't have a control group but we'll see what happens anyway.

here is a sappy bit of advice that i found to be very helpful... it is actually the closing in SeeMoreBuds (aka Garden Knowm) CFL book....

"It is of great importance that the grow is done safely, and with enjoyment. Do not let the growing process bring negativity into your life, regardless of failure or success. All growers experience unexpected broken branches, bug infestations and other obstacles. Remember you are growing for enjoyment and you are in control of your own happiness!"

it may sound trite but to me that is some of the best advice ever. we get so wrapped up in specifics that we sometimes forget the big picture.

i would say thanks, but i stole it from a wiser grower

tip on cloning... when you prep your clones, dont just slice off the lower two leaves and cut the stem at a 45 degree angle but also scrape the outer stem off one side and split the end of the stem before you dip the clone in your root tone.

exposing more of the soft insides and disrupting the cells before adding the rooting hormone gives more area to spawn roots from.

i prefer the root hormone powders instead of the gels... i have to admit though it is probably because that is how i learned.

which brings us to a bonus tip: dont be afraid to try new things AFTER you get experience with working methods

when you stick your clone in the grow medium (jiffy plug, rock wool whatever) make sure there is no gaps around the stem... you want the medium touching the stems or your cutting will die before it roots.

once you have cloning figured out it is easy, but before then it can take a few tries to get it.

to add on that.

misting often the first week will insure your cuttings dont die. some kind of humidity dome will keep the humidity up. i use 24 hour lighting.

misting is a must the first two week's on till they root...they have no root's to bring food to the plant..so they depend on the leave's getting misted...i like to use b-52 and superthrive is good to..da plantDOC

OPEN THE LID GIVE A LITTLE STIR, AND CLOSE THE LID....PASS MARTHA'S BOGIN HARDCORE.

So i pulling Droopy on Fri. Do you think if I used him this would work?

If the girl or boy is got some trich action... Then cut the dose of butter accordingly to fit the trim weight! So the cook's are good and u dont have to eat alot to get off'!! Db.~tlb!
