I bought a 9 cob cxb 3590 setup for my 8x8 a year ago and absolutely have loved them since making the switch from HPS. I want to replace the blurple in my 2x4 and have yet to make a decision on cob or qb. It's a toss up between 3 or 4 cxb 3590's or 320w XL HLG 3x 288 v2. Both options are DIY because that's half the fun and cuts on costs. So guys help me make up my mind and get rid of the blurple.

I am running the QB's in my 2x4 tent and love them, I will be adding 2 of the V2s 4k and 2 QB 288 v1's 3k next run for a total of 4 QB288's. With you DIY you can do it pretty cheap

I have used a 3590 array,it is being replaced with strips.I think that strips will spread the light out better than boards.I am waiting on new fans then that light will be sold.

FB7177AA-0FCE-4497-BD3C-30F9BBE84E88.png I have the Timber 3CS in my 3x3 and love it. But for your 2x4 footprint I would pick the 320w XL vs 4 Cree CXB 3590’s. The spread and light distribution would be my deciding factor. 87921D49-08F9-47F1-9B74-E781D94E006C.png

If I was you I would buy just the quantum boards with out the driver. they have the QB324 kit going for $399, When you can buy the two boards and two heatsinks for only $200 with shipping. And go to arrow and get the hlg 320 1400 driver for $89. You can get the same setup for just under $300. I just did that today:)

I didn’t mean to imply that OP was buying one of those kits. Just putting them out there as an example.

Found that. Not much product detail but the company reviews are good. Sent a message to them on product detail. If it's legit i'll buy it and sell the Meanwell 185 and replace with a 320H.

Is the cob sale pin heatsinks or blade heatsinks? Makes a huge difference in passive cooling. The pin heatsinks run way cooler

I decided not to purchase these lights. My fear is that they are not what is pictured and I’ll send them back with a restocking fee. I read the reviews.....this seller can’t even send the right kind of toilet paper to a home.
