CV Driver Efficiency

Hello!

I have a question about how we re efficiency on CV Drivers.

In CC drivers we can only dim Amps and by logic this will affect the driver LOAD (Io = LOAD). So if I wanted to know my driver effiency at a certain LOAD, I just need to analyze EFFICIENCY vs LOAD graphic.
In CV drivers we can dim both Volts and Amps. Now, which one will affect the LOAD? Only Vo? Only Io? Or both?

Io= CURRENT ouptut...not load.
Vo=voltage output
The load is the combination of the Io(current) and Vo(voltage)...aka the wattage.

As you dim, the load/wattage decreases, and follows the efficiency curve you posted.

With LED's, the voltage change is not major with in normal operating conditions. So the current is the main factor in influencing the load of your led stings.

TBH, Its not something to be concerned about. Anything over 50% of your rated wattage is going to put you over 90%

I have this exact driver, but its 15V, Love it. Using it on my Ebay strip Rigid LED light build. I only turn it up to 12V, 16amps, 200watts. Not sure what the max volts for these strips is, so i have to keep it at 12V, and actually not using the 15W per strip it says it has, because affraid to turn it up any higher then 12V. I use a Potencimeter.
