Cutting Off Smaller Buds Increase Yield?

Okay so I have a indica plant lst'ed short and bushy I just cut off its 5 smallest colass 8 weeks into 12/12 they were the 5 shortest branches with smaller buds then the ones at a Higher level.I still got 6 or 7 bigger branches shoots with nice colas all will be more then a Gram and the main branch cola with all the big fat buds on it.Did doing this increase my yield or should I of left these 5 smaller branches on ?3 of them were really small 2 were maybe .5 grams dried But i figured taking these small less mature buds off would help her bigger buds get nice and fat.

taking anything off your plant that late in flower isn't going to do anything.
If you cut your smaller lower growth off -at let's say.. week 3 or 4- your plant has just finished up stretching and is going to start devoting more energy to flowering.. which is why you usually see bud sites start around week 3. When you clip the lower bud sites off..the plant will re-direct hormones to the remaining sites allowing them to get bigger. I don't find I end up with that much more weight.. but it's way easier to trim and you don't have to deal with the popcorn shit at the bottom of your plant.
Not much you can do about it now if you already took them off... try it earlier next time and compare the difference - see how you like it.
