Cutting Holes In Wood For Exhuast

Hey guys,

I'm trying to cut a hole in my plywood to stick some ducting through or to place my fan in. I don't have any power tools though that could do it. I was curious if anyone had any ideas on another way to do it. I'm not sure if there is another method but I thought I would ask.

I've been searching around for one but most my friends don't have one unfortunatly. If I chiseled it with a flathead wouldn't that pretty much mutilate it??

pretty much lol

you could trace the hole with a pencil.. use the screwdriver to make dozens of "holes" around the traced outline.. Making sure to keep the flat straight edge of the screwdriver aligned with the outline, and make alot of seperate holes and then you could just punch it out with a hammer and clean up the edge.. Kind of like making it "perferated" .

Thats the best way I can tell you how to make a big circilar hole in wood if you dont have any cutting tools.

Go buy a keyhole saw. Punch a hole through the wood via hammer and screwdriver to let the saw in. Go from there.

You got a wife or girlfriend?

I'm sure at some point during the month she will piss you off right?

Go take out your anger on the plywood :hump:

Hope this helps

get a good razor knife and keep cutting around and around till you get through it will take a while and be CAREFUL. walmart has a jigsaw and blades for 18 bucks buy it and return it.or just dig is with the screwdriver . or maybe just break off a whole corner after scoring it on each side with a knife will be a triangle but duct tape is great . or lastly extend the whole box with heavy cardboard and tape cut your holes in that , those are your options
