Cutting Buds

By the looks of things the main buds are gonna be ready b4 the lower buds... can you just cut the main bud and leave the other colas on for a bit longer..

would the lower buds get bigger or would there not be much difference,

and by cutting the plant would the plant focus more on healing the 'open wound' ((cut stem)) more then the growth of the buds?????

You're going to get a lot of different answers to this one.

I tried to take my main top colas once, and leave the smaller lower buds. Two weeks passed, my plants stayed in shock and did not eat and did not drink and did not grow any. The smaller buds stayed the same size.

I also tried the re-VEG thing and that did not work for me either.

I was thinking that would be the case that the plant would be in shock and the lower buds stay the same.

Um... I don't see the harm in trying it. Are you sure the cola is ready to harvest? Did you microscope it or are you eye-balling it?
Anyways... I don't think cutting the top off your plant will kill it or harm your lower buds so if you think you'll benefit from cutting your cola now and leaving your lowers, do it.

(Once a plant is well into the flowering process it's impossible to re-veg, regardless of your lighting schedule)

My main cola isnt ready to harvest yet couple more weeks, but comparing the the main to the lower buds i can see that the lowers arnt going to be ready the same time.. ( i could be wrong they could catch up) but i was preparing and going over my options before i get to that stage.

And as regards to re-vegging the plant i have no intention of doing that,
