Regarding the tests that I didn't do at 1amp, the results are usually pretty much the same regardless of the colour so you can do some math to work out how the 4k cri80 and the 35K cri70 will work at 1amp. If you want to see the efficiency of the 4k at 1amp then it will be 14.5% less than it is @500mA. Same goes for the 35K.
This would be pretty much the same if Nichia chips or Samsung chips were used also on that strip.

So it's less than 2μMol/j at when you include driver/optical losses. These are a good 10% less efficient that the h influx and not worth my time.
They are aimed at the price point and very useful depending on how they are used. You could just about buy 3 strips for the price of a nichia strip. I'm happy to test something else that performs better, without doing tests the same way I have done them for these it's very difficult to compare different results

The real value in the tests that I do is that once I have done a test I can also provide an IES file. I am sure there is people on here smart enough to take a look at using IES files. No more PAR maps using a hand held device. It can all be done on free to use software now. No more risks involved before you purchase, know exactly how your lights are going to work across the canopy.

Correct, if you want premium strips you really need to look to Nichia, V3 P12 Bins or LM301B top bin but clearly the price reflects the difference in performance, if you interested in a better priced premium strip, then Cree new 5630 HE at 210.58 LPW at a price not significantly dearer than the current Cree strips would be worth considering

I have attached Horticulture measurements for 700mA, Also a test for the 5000K @ 1AMP
Rocket also asked for measurements in lumens so I attached the readings for the 3 strips @ 500mA in lumens

What we can see here is that 190lum/w is reliable although only in slightly unusable spectrums (5000k 70cri). I thought important to get this info as some had cree as slightly overstating their performance in datsheets, but it appears as it is correct here.

To be honest I haven't done a comparison to the data sheet, from times I have done in the past crees data sheets seem to be alot more conservative than other companies.
I really want to compare a cree 5050 to a lumileds 5050 as I know the raw chips come from the exact same factory but lumileds claims much higher efficiency.

Trusting data sheets has really fucked me up in the past and now days I only trust my own results and that is only after I have checked that I have done everything perfectly as I have also made mistakes when measuring in the past. Some of the data sheets I read do not add up to me. I know the raw chips that most companies use but yet I see claims that are far beyond what they should be. I have my own chips made in China but I do not even trust the results that the company manufacturers for me say, I wait until I check it myself. There it really something wrong with sphere tests though, I do not believe that they can be done correctly when measuring single chips as I have never been able to achieve the same results as a sphere test when I test a single chip. When I test multiple chips it makes a difference and actually matches a sphere test alot of the time when they also test multiple chips.

I need to do more tests and I will share them with you all as I go so you will see what I mean by all this.

Would it be possible for you to upload pics of such IES files for some common sized tents with different numbers of strips. I know you’ve shown an IES file before but I think it would be good for the community to be able to visually see the advantages of doing it this way since you’ve been pushing so hard for it.
Now that your testing lights, I love the data your providing. Showing us a real example comparison would be really valuable I think.

I really need to make a video to show how it works, it's difficult to do it with pictures. When I have a moment I will do a 4X4 grow room simulation using the cree strips to show how to use something like that properly. Overall design makes a big difference when setting up a grow room, it's more of a difference than efficiency alone.

You can see in the pictures I am using a multimeter to get the amps and voltages. If I am testing a fixture I will test it with the driver.

Thx for the reply, I plan to drive 2x 4000K strips at 1A (~50W) with a ELG-100-48A (90% efficacy) to replace CFL light.
I think that even though it's under 2umol/J of efficacy it will be enough to have a good growth, what is your opinion?

It will be alot brighter than a fluro. Your hang height will make a difference to performance alot.
