Cursed 7 weeks seedling!!!

A friend of mine got a bag of weed that had a seed in it. After germination I planted it in a large pot (2nd picture) which was a mistake since the seedling damped off. Considering that weed in form of buds is extremely hard to come by where I live, and finding more seeds is nearly impossible. I didn't have the option to throw the seedling and start over.
I cut the stem just above the area that was thinning and replanted it in a much smaller container. It pretty much stayed the same with absolutely zero growth for around a month and just started growing slowly for the last couple of weeks.
I would like to have an opinion about the current situation, and whether it will make it to flowering stage.

Which picture is the current one? The one where it looks pretty heathy? Or the one where is in the cut cup with saturated soil? If it’s the latter then it’s suffering from over watering. If it’s the former then it looks fine...especially after what it’s been through.

If I understand you correctly you basically cloned a seedling ... which is kinda wild. The resiliency of plants always amazes me. Good save.
