Currently have 25 Clones Trying to root but..

I currently have 2 strains divided by 25 total clones, I pulled 2 clones from stems out of medium to see if they had rooted at day 10.

The 1st strain shows a little nub so maybe.
The 2nd strain shows 2 roots at the bottom of my 45 degree cut..

Simple question, by me removing this clone from its potential root spurt, did I just kill it? Or will the roots survive.. I was trying to be gentle, but I saw those roots moving "UP" with the stem while pushing the stem down.. they are very little and look fragile.

As anyone ever pulled a stem like I just did and put it back and it continued to root?

While I don't mind killing these 2 clones for all intense purposes.. I was happy to see some roots none the less.

You prob killed that particular root cluster but new roots come and go so you should be okay just keep temps and humidity on point

People clone in many different ways I use the plain water temp method

I cut the clone snip the leaves and then place into plain water and keep the water at 78 degree with humidity 85-90%

a week or so later when i see a nice stable roots systems I then untangle them and move them into medium

you do not need chemicals or hormones just water proper heat and humidity and they will root

The irony too, I have like 5 of them on both strains in Organic timed release and rest in just jiffy pellets and the organic timed release is what is growing roots vs the jiffy pellet thus far. Im just toying with what works best.

I just use water I am sure with chemicals and mini mediums like jiffy they will take root faster and maybe even start off strong when you put them into your selected medium

With water they will do just fine in time and then nothing has been added to the plant

Many years ago I tried my first clones I used a clone gel and some cubes and killed them all. I was then shown the water only method and never have a problem

I suggest water only method for people new to cloning. just put it in water and leave it alone until you see the roots take

I was the noob who could not stop checking for roots also its part of the game

Interesting, do you literally just sit the clone in a cup of water thats clear and not opaque in light and let it root out at those desired temps? I got nothing to loose my momma's still have plenty of clones to give.

I take jumbo orange medicine pill containers and then black out the sides with tape. Ftw record I have used clear sides they will take

if you want to check you just lift and look from bottom

Yeah setting in desired temps works the best and each strain is different

You do not have to use desired temp tho. Before i had the ability to control my temps and use multi rooms I used to grow in a tent and just set the clones on the medium on one of the mothers not in direct light and they do fine

perfect temp and humidity just speeds it up

I do not like to use hormones or chemicals

Pretty sad example but this when I was a noob and one of first clones

It might even be the first one I can not remember lol

But if you zoom in you can see it starting and believe it or not the roots eventually grew out of the pill bottle. At the time blacking out the sides was not something I even thought about. I did not even cut the fan leaves after cloning at the time

I have had a 100% root, even with the plants I played with a bit. Once I transplanted them (after root system), the next day, they had a little stretch. I gotta admit though, the ones in the Organic Slow 3 month Promix formula seem to be growing much more healthy, they are very green while the others were asking for nitrogen, so I added some green compost then gave them a watering. The next day they were much greener without any burned tips. I have not fed my plants anything chemical wise other then what could potentially be in the promix itself.

2 plants -> 25 I think is a win!

Now im going to cut another 20 or so from the momma's since I have had a whole lot of fresh growth while waiting for these clones to root. It's crazy how the plants look as big and bulky as they were before stealing clones off them.

The momma's are slowly being introduced outside in the daylight and brought back in so I can cut from them throughout summer til they decide to flower.

I will have new momma's from 2 selected plants in October, rinse and repeat. I got 10 seeds left on both strains and all I need is 2 momma bears out of them. Ill probably keep a clone and veg to steal clones from the clones and see how they flower and give me trichomes.. there's SOOOOOO much controversy about losing potency, but a clone should be just that a literally clone from a to z same genetics. Even if you lose 1-3% THC it's still not entirely bad.

There is no controversy. A clone is just a branch you make grow roots. It's not just the same genetics. It's the same plant. A 1-3% variable can happen in any grow.

That's true I had some seeds from the same fertilize plant give me a stone cold body stone while one in same conditions beside it do barely anything yet same amount of trichomes at least to the naked eye appeared

I never Jar the same plant even though the same seed together. All plants get their own respective Jar
