Curious, would Fluoride delay or stop germination?

Basically diluted toothpaste?... not that I'm putting toothpaste on my seeds but my local reservoir is doing a trial putting fluoride into the water supply so kids have healthier teeth :|

and I'm having 0% success on pretty much all methods of germination (paper towel, pre-soaking, planting direct to soil and rockwool) I may even have the PH completely screwed up...

but back to the question. Would fluoride effect seeds? :peace:
 
i never bother to pH... just straight from tap in between several layers tissue paper. then store in the boiler area where it's warm inside a bowl with a lid on. beans should start popping after around 12 hours. if beans take longer than 3 days to germ i class them as non viable and throw them away.
 
its all a conspiracy ! all over australia and many countries have minimal amount of fluoride in there drinking water but its a none " fact " that it does fuck all, it might help a very minimal amount of the population like children with tooth decay but the side effects are still unknown and fluoride is a poison and its banned in the uk under some laws but they still use it. the real truth is its to make us all docile.

lol docile :) nice, it's mind control, one day we'll be drinking our fluoride water and bam wont know what the hells goin down.
 
You could always just put the seeds in the soil and keep in a warmish area, it never lets me down. seeds push through in 2-3 days usually, after 5 or 6 i usually say fuck it and toss it.

Yep, flouride is a secret brain control drug, they've got a device in washington and when they flip this switch its gonna activate and steal our minds!
 
yeah I just started doing that planted a couple straight into rockwool (as im a hydro kinda guy)....

haha washington ey... hope them microwaves dont reach across the atlantic XD

closet grower is right, i have done a lot of research on this. flouride DOES NOT help kids with their teeth, in FACT is eats away at teeth and rots them. the government just says it helps with your teeth so they have a reason to put it in your water. what flouride accually does is make you passive. and if you look up the ingredience for prozac (a very common anti depressent) you will see the main ingredient is flouride. my father used to be mad and pissed off everyday, but since prozac, i find it hard to do anything that pisses him off. the gov puts it in your water to make you passive and not question the shit you think isnt right. esotericagenda.net./ i really suggest people watch this movie. it is a movie that really opened my mind to a lot of shit this currupt ass government is doing behind our backs (USA)
 
i used city water without a problem for germination. it will work for growing also but i recommend reverse osmosis since it's so much cheaper than distilled and virtually the same thing.

heres my trick to a very high germination success rate. make sure your seeds are healthy, no premature white ones, no flat or black ones. i wouldnt even use bag seeds. get seeds of a certain strain cause chances are it will be a lot better than a bag seed. plus it will probably be feminized. dont soak in water overnight. some ppl do this but i find it a waste of time. get a paper towel moist. not dripping wet but enough to saturate it with water. tap water or hard water will work fine. fold it so it fits in a zip lock baggie. place as many seeds as you want but keep them apart from each other so the roots dont get tangled. seal the baggie and place it in like an empty cereal box or old board game. put it in a dark room that has about a temp of 70-80 degrees F, not really too critical but stay within room temp. check on it in 2-3 days. as soon as you see a root poking out it's ok to plant. i've even broken a root on accident and the seedling actually still survived. try your best to plant it tap root facing down. they will be fine without the root facing down, but it seems like they grow better with the root facing down. otherwise it may sorta grow at a slant.

if anything, chlorine may help kill certain bacterias and shit on the seeds. i recommend against it for watering, but germinating with it is just fine. at least from my own experience.
 
lol yeah It's pretty much the same over here (UK), government being douches, we had a massive expenses scandal a few months back cos members of parliament were spending tax payers money literally millions of £ on stuff like duck houses, chocolate, hiring family members and paying them stupid salaries etc, heres a good one the DVLA (people who sort out all our car tax and stuff) spent £2.5 million at their head office, out of tax payers money, on plants and not the good kind :p ... And now our Income Tax is being bumped up to give them even more money :|

And thanks everyone for the advice :) I've started leaving my water to sit with an air stone in it for a couple of days before using it, and now some of my seeds have started cracking :)

right on ! its just to keep us all mooshy the government is afraid of people who dont like to be told what to do which is the majority. there slowly putting us on a leash and its getting tighter, another example is the australian government putting an internet blocker on the whole of australia to stop us looking up weed,guns drugs and porn etc.. im not schitzaphrenic lmao

i hate that kind of stuff because when i get high i think about our goverment
and life. and how i feel it should be. that stuff just makes me feel so hopeless.
