curiosity question

haha wassup fellow herb lovers. newbie grower here. starting his first indoor grow and first outdoor grow (might not be best time of year but I have ample seed supply so fuck it).

anyways Im doing 3 plants indoor hoping one will be female( getting pics of my grow space for yall when I get some sprouts) btw I just got done with germination for a couple seedlings and they have been planted indoor. not looking at cloning or anything, just enough so I wont have to be buying 2 ounces+ a week.

anyways After I get a set of good seeds that have been germinated and have sprouted indoors. I will take the remaining 20+ seeds and germinate as many possible and plant them out doors. now I was wondering about the out door plants. If I let them stay in veggetative state for a couple months can I take them inside inorder to change their photoperiod to induce flowering instead of waiting for the seasons to change?

you can, as long as you have a powerful enough light since the plants will need more light than they did in veg, and nothing can really beat the sun but a HPS will be alright. If you are strapped for cash cfls will do but the plant would be stressed a lot from the light change.

For my indoor plants Im using 45 watts per sq. ft. when I change the photo period for flowering I will do a photo period of 12/12 right now Im doing 24/0 and will switch to 18/6 then down to 12/12. during flowering I know how you should up the watts per sq. ft. so I was thinking 120+ watts per sq. ft.?

is 120 enough for flowering the indoor plants and would 120 be enough to induce flowering in the outdoor buds when I take them inside?

TYry to get a good HPS. Im sure if you can afford 2 ounces a week you could afford a nice 1000w hps. Only $250 at High Tech Garden Supply

This is where I get my lights from and they are realy great!!! All my packages I have ordered so far (about 10 items I guess so far) Have been here the next day. I was really impressed the first time and fell in love with that place ever since. They have my bussiness, Lowest prices and next day arrival? idk about you but sounds great to me! Anyways. You will be alright as mentioned above as long as you got good lights. And rmemeber... The more light, The more bud, So dont skimp!

Here High Tech Garden Supply it has HPS but Im not sure if this is just the bulb or the whole fixture. is there wiring involved.


1.More Question- Well since my seeds arnt femeninized and some may be male; I wanted to know if I could start flowering in the early stages of the plants life (2 weeks after germination or so) to determine the plants sex. Once determined can I revert back to the veggetative state. I understand a plant will revert back to veggetative state if not in flowering for to long, but is this a good way to determine the plants sex then going back to vegge for optimal growth before the final flowering?

You smoke 2 oz a week. Your gonna need some serious firepower in the light department.

oh sorry guys. I didnt mean I smoke 2 oz. a week by myself. lol. Im always sparking up friends of mine. I smoke 2-4 times a day on average by myself, but everyday once a day Ill smoke a J or a blunt with some bro(s) of mine...yes my friends love me for that. lol.

You CAN but it might not be too wise, because you could put the plant under undue stress. I'd wait till they are ready to be cloned and then flower the clones that way you don't have to disturb the original plants.

Yeah what he said....just get them bout 12-16 inches tall....take some clones (MARK THEM!), then turn the lights back to 12/12. Then the continuous cycle begins.
