Curing Question....

Well i have researched plenty and am aware that a good cure can take some time....

I have manicured, then hung up for 6 days until stems snap, now in glass jars with a daily 20 min burp. about a week into the curing process...

smells not great, is this a fairly normal thing at this point, is it really just a case of patience?? I have some but am a little concerned that i will never get the healthy bud smell i know we all love...

Basically - is it normal for weed to go through a hay / grass cuttings / pretty unpleasant smell for a week or 2 before gaining that sweet smell that i got at harvest or have i fucked it up??

If all it takes is time then that is cool....

thanks, actually already seems a bit better - bit of an odd smell still, but has calmed down a little... as always patience is the key...

Can be a painful wait but thats all it takes man, just make sure the buds are fairly packed into the jars and keep up the occasional burping. I give the buds a tumble as well daily jus to move em round a bit. I tend to find from 3 weeks onwards after being in jars the bud should smell/taste gd when smoked but will probably still smell a bit lame just from the jar. Sometimes i find putting the buds into baggies at this point helps to get that bag appeal smell.
