Curing In a jar

I am planning to give the green a rest for a little while. in the mean time i was going to buy a fair amount and keep it in a jar to cure it so that when i do go back to toking my green would be abit better ( the stuff around where i live could always do with some curing)

However from what i've learnt you need to open the jar for a short period of time everyday in oder to cure it, the problem being i dont have that much self control if i was around a jar of buds everyday and ill end up toking. I know the simple solution here would to get some self control but.... I was hoping that if i was to try and cure it all in a jar keeping it with someone of whom i know i can trust 100% and wont let me have it back untill my break is up. i cant ask them to go out of there way every day and open the jar ( thats just un-fair and not happening) So will it cure the buds at all if it was stored away and not opened for a few weeks or at least a little bit? OR would i just be wasting my time and should just buy some when my time is actually up.

I do not think that you'll gain any benefit with bought bud. Curing works best immediately after harvest. These guys knew that as awell. cn

like cn said, unless it was shortly after the bud was harvest, theres not much good putting it in a jar, it wouldnt hurt however, just make sure the bud is sufficiently dry and u can store itin jars for years if youd like. good luck

If you do choose a jar for long term storage, make sure it is kept somewhere cool and dark.

Out of interest..... I know you said shortly but could you give an actual time frame? Also could you give a link to a guide to check how fresh your bought buds are? i tried searching but all i found were articles for parents warning them about the dangers of marijuana.....yeah.

A lot of times the stuff you get on the streets is too dry to start the curing process. The curing process is meant to take semi dried nug that is more dry on the outside then in, then you put it in jars to take the moisture from within and wick it out slowly. So, that the bud dries very uniformly. During that time chlorophyll and some other ingredients start to break down. That is how you get the "green" taste out of it. To get all the "green" taste out it takes a few weeks. Around a month and it starts becoming superb and so on.

Those look like canopic jars to me. Lets see you have the baboon god Hapi for the lungs and the Jackal god for the stomach and Imseti for the liver etc.... These are very nice jars but what do they have to do with Cannabis?
