CURING HELP! its been 3 weeks...

So I brought back some blue dream from up north, I was working on my buddies farm. anyways I have like 2 ounces in a giant jar. it dried for about 5 days.. stem snaps. jar it up. but its been almost 3weeks now and the smell hasnt come out yet!! but when i take a nug and rub it.. that super dank sweet blue dream smell just explodes!! but when i smell the jar it just has that earthy smell. ive been opening the jar once a day for 30 min to an hour. what am i doing wrong?? i tried to smoke some and it still has that weird stingy uncured smoke. someone help!!

Open once a day for 3days, twice a week for 2weeks, that 17 days then again after 13 days. That's the end of your 30day cure.

what smell is bugging you? is it a grassy smell? or the smell of the pot itself? seems like your doing ok, thats just the smell of the herb.

the opening of the jar removes the moisture, lowering the chances of mold.
closing the jar spreads the moisture around evenly. (so the outside of the bud isnt dry while the inside is gooey - like from hanging)

honestly jamboss' idea on curing sounds sweet. honestly, i open it, grab a nug, smoke it, repeat. by the time i get to the bottom, shits cured. but yea multiple jars, i burp them daily at first then every 2-3 days after a week or 2.

i gave it like 3 days one time and when i opened it all the weed was SUPER soft and like i was able to flatten a nug by barely squeezing it.. i was afraid of mold so started opening every day.

Harvest too soon or you did not BURP it at all... The moisture should be controlled until the bud is the SAME feel through out the bud...

Usually after 2-3 weeks of opening jar for 1 hour every day for 2-3 weeks

honestly i think it was harvested WAY too early.. my buddy is an idiot and he thinks the bud is done once the white hairs turn orange.. i tried to tell him that he should be looking at the condition of the trichs but he is an older dude and super set in his ways..

i ddint mean 3days straight,1burp,2burp,3burp then the above. i got that from subcool's harvesting and curing thread. in no nay i take credit.
