Cube conditioning ?

How important is it to drain all the water out of your cubes from the 24 hour conditioning ? Before you transplant ?

I keep things pretty clean but I never do this in either case. I would venture to say not very.

I don't use any soil, i grow exclusively in rockwool. With the exception of a few 4inch rockwool cubes that i transplanted into coco.

I've never conditioned any of my Rockwool. I put my rooted clones (in rapid rooters) into either dry Rockwool cubes, dry granulated Rockwool, or dry grow cubes then i top water with ph'd nutrient solution till the bottom is soaking wet. After that i normally don't water the next day because there soaked. I don't care what people say or what i should do. There is no right or wrong way. I get roots in 2 days through the 4 inch cubes with this method.

I don't see an advantage or disadvantage to this method. MY plants don't suffer transplant shock and always take off immediately when transplanted into bigger pots of rockwool. The reason i do this is because i grow dank buds that make me lazy lol and its a lot of work pre soaking 20 pots of rockwool for 24 hours in ph'd water. FOR nothing

BTW i have tested one time where I pre-soaked rockwool for 4 pots and did the other 4 pots without pre-soaking and i noticed ZERO difference.

I exclusively use Grodan rockwool, so i cant vouch for other types of rockwool. However im sure there the major supplier of rockwool out there.
