Crossing Early Iranian

Has anyone ever crossed Early Iranian with anything? If so I'd like to know the results of the f1. Thank you in advance.

Crossing Dr. Green Thumbs Iranian is a good way to get photo period plants to finish quicker. Made alot of sense in the guerrilla days.

Like most crosses, it helps to pick thru the offspring and find the ones you're looking for. There will be happy surprises and some disappointments along the way.

Early Grizzly, quicker phenos of M.O.B. and Mity Mite were also used in a similar fashion in crosses to help with finish times.

Oregon Greens "Iranian" has origins in Greenthumbs Iranian. Where Greenthumb got his has been argued about some by old timers. I have no dog in that fight.

It,(the Iranian), has certainly sped up the Oaxacan it was crossed with, in my garden. I'm looking at early Sept. for harvest, depending on the leaf septoria issue.

Nothing wrong with an early finish! Good luck the rest of the way.

Septoria? It's been a bad year for blight in the northeast. All the rain.

Just trimmed up my tomatoes, squash etc.. Spores can get blown from veggies, apple trees etc. to weed or transferred by our hands I think.
I was spraying the girls with sulfur and neem (independently, not mixed together) , but many are starting to bud, so I've begun using citric acid and trifecta spray (pricey) . With all the rain, I've been spraying several times per week. Never had to do that before, might be the worst year I've seen yet.

I remove the infected leaves, seal and dispose of the bag. If you leave the infected leaves on the plant , there will be more the next day.
This is a photo found on line of the kind of blight I'm talking about.

I live in the country and the septoria is on almost every native plant, from ragweed to the elm trees. There is no escaping it. Just hoping to finish some of the plants before they succumb, just like last year. I generally run shorter flowering plants outdoors in soil, because there are a million potential problems in Oklahoma. The faster they finish, the less time there is for things to go wrong. Also have leaf hoppers, grasshoppers, and stem borers hitting the plants right now. Have been spraying sulphur for a month, in addition to Biosafe's cannabis protocol. Spraying every few days. Fortunately, a couple of my crosses seem pretty resistant to septoria. Just going to keep selecting for strains that can handle this environment.

Glad to hear some of your plants are more resistant. Gonna pollen chuck the resistant ones?

I've got the same thing. Vintners Moonshine chugging along like a champ, couple others suffering slightly from blight, but on the upswing.

On the other hand, I might even get rid of a disappointing Red Dragon if she doesn't perk up. She's on the fence now. Blasted her with sulfur today in a "one last chance you little bitch" leafing and pruning session.

Got a lot of pollen to hit whatever is left. Need plants that can

My most resistant plant is very large, so I should easily be able to hit it with 4 different kinds of pollen. Probably be Carrion Flower Skunk, Royal Kush, Rainbow Flame,(Greenfire Genetics) and Amnesia Hash Plant,(Oregon Green Seeds).

My biggest problem so far is bud rot. Not yet this year of course, but in Oct.

Dr GT Iranian isnt what he claims… Iranians are anything but fast flowering

I'm curious, when did yours finish outside? Do you remember the year you got the seeds?

I've grown it a time or two and saw some finish time variance over several orders in a 4 or 5 year span, but even the later finishing ones I had were done by mid sept.

Some even finished in late July. I think they may have been seeds from 2012. Whereas by 2015 the finish times were mid September and that pheno had some kick.

This the kind of info I really appreciate!

It's possible seeds after 2015 mileage may vary or not. I never grew the later ones so I can't say what those might do.

Maybe somebody who has grown them using newer seeds will chime in.
