i do take kgp words seriously... just not yours...Also when kgp agreed with what I was saying and sourcing in the post I quoted, you didn't take that seriously either?

So when his info and what I am saying agree with each other, you're still taking things I say seriously, just from another source. Like how Wendy's went from the fat Wendy to the skinny one for ads. Gets the info out either way so I'm not mad. I'll be the fat Wendy to your knowledge basis. It's cool. Haters gonna hate .i do take kgp words seriously... just not yours...
Don't you have any cousins? this concept is terribly easyso just continuing the generation basically right?
Yes I know u saying once u reach brother and sister u make crosses with them using their own mates then crossing their kids right?Don't you have any cousins? this concept is terribly easy
P1 X P2 = F1 this is mom & dad
F1 boy X F1 girl = F2 this is brother and sister
F2 boy X F2 girl = F3 still brother & sister
etc. etc. etc.
No cousins involved ^^^^^^^
uniformity should be important to call this seed a certain strain,,,agree.. unfortunatly i have 50 different nl seeds and 50 different northern light plants,,same strain every one is different... only stabilized strains get u uniform plants imo...That is the kind of plants I like to run where every plant is the same.Iam a grower not a breader and if I know the plants will be close to all the same I know moor about what I will have at chop time.but I cant find seeds that the plants will be the same at chop time but wish I could...ky
It's not that simple, I have taken my CTF to F3 (workin on F4 now) have back crossed it twice so far to get the F3's where I want em and still have 3 phenosback crossing the same male with its offspring= stability.. back cross 3 times =cubed cubed=stabil(in most cases, sometimes u need to bx4 times to get true uniformity...
Has been for meAnd is the high the same on all the true worked plants?
When I used to run tga gear (all f1 poly's) it seemed like there was an endless amount of phenos. There was always a drastic pheno drift from seed to clone.according to hyroot, its not just 2-3 phenos...
irrelevant?? LOL,,, everything is a poly out there, just like kgp said...
like i said before.... a LEGIT breeder once told me... everything we have now, is from the handful of seed companies when this first started....
so yeah. technically everything is inbred..
I have similar experiences.Has been for me
They aren't that wanted, but they should be, it's just not a major demand from most seed buyers, who are not even aware of it. There are very few "breeders" on today's seedbanks and chucks sell just as well, more if you create loads of them. There's just relatively little demand for that level of actual plant breeding, and very few plant breeders involved because of prohibition.I wonder,if ture f1 are so wanted, why are no breeders making any (that are on today's seedbanks)
Love the way your post are deep but easy to understand. ..They aren't that wanted, but they should be, it's just not a major demand from most seed buyers, who are not even aware of it. Good F1 hybrids express heterosis / hybrid vigor from combining two different varieties, specifically from combining different genetics that can compliment each other (many genes are additive or modifiers and can enhance the effect of genes). The reason IBLs should be used to create such hybrids is the same as for the IBL itself, uniformity, passing on the same/similar set of genes to every offspring.
Pollen chucking and crossing poly hybrids with different genetics (thus not og kush A x og kush B) still result in hybrids, of which some plants can be great examples of f1 hybrids too, but there will be variation and it will be hard to impossible to recreate those same plants from seed. Will have to clone the best to keep it. Being able to recreate the same is a requirement to be considered a new variety, just not for cannabis the drug variety, but that will change eventually.

Besides an official requirement, it makes no sense to breed hybrids you can't reproduce consistently. It's sort of the whole point of breeding.
The 1:2:1 and 1:1 ratios mentioned in this thread are per gene pair, at most per trait, and not for all. We usually sum plants up as one phenotype, but it is per trait. People who think they see 2 or 3 phenos just don't look close enough.
Pheno 1, tall, purple, shortflowering, pine, broad leaf, dark green, mold resistant
Pheno 2, short, purple, shortflowering, pine, broad leaf, dark green, mold resistant
Pheno 3, tall, green, shortflowering, pine, broad leaf, dark green, mold resistant
Pheno 4, short, green, shortflowering, pine, broad leaf, dark green, mold resistant
Etc... Etc...
The key is to look at the ratios per phenotype, that is, per trait, to guestimate how it inherits and whether it was homo or heterozygous in a parent.

Listen to this man he KNOWS his shit when it comes to breading and that's why I fllow his post for his stuff is rite on the money and he has some great strains.just look at his grow picters and you will agree with me..RM3 I hope you don't mind that I brag on you but hell you desirve it 110 percent.kyDon't you have any cousins? this concept is terribly easy

you make it so easy to under stand that a dumb one like me understands you so thank you 4 all your help you give EVERY ONE on this site..i cant wait to meet you one day in person..ky..ps..or you can just come and stay with me here on the farm and fish..kyDon't you have any cousins? this concept is terribly easy

that's rite and that's why a out door grower can not be a great breader in my book for it takes to dam many years to grow outdoor to get a stabeal plant and you cant keep plants outdoor alive year around.thats one moor reason I wount a small indoor grow so I can bread some with LOTS OF HELP that I will need to even grow indoor where this winters grow indoor will be my first.outdoor I fell I can grow with any one if I could grow LEGAL but its a lot different when you got to hide from grown men to hellcopters year after year..kyIt's not that simple, I have taken my CTF to F3 (workin on F4 now) have back crossed it twice so far to get the F3's where I want em and still have 3 phenos
Doin it right takes years
if you live by dj short then why not get your beans strait from him that you wount of his?kyWhen I used to run tga gear (all f1 poly's) it seemed like there was an endless amount of phenos. There was always a drastic pheno drift from seed to clone.
You can still get landraces and ibl's or rare strains. I'm working with a kona sunset male and that's damn near impossible to find again . I'm currently pheno hunting afghani 1 females and males. I'm on the search for some pure Pakistani. I had a Jamaican landrace. But I didn't like it. I also have a pack of dj short original blueberry. I'm going to grab a couple more packs of dj short blueberry at chalice. Dj short actually lives by me too.
You can still make fire with some poly's. I also have some mendo breath males and females to pheno hunt soon too.
Anyway I it depends on how much work the breeder is willing to put in. I spent almost 2 years pheno hunting males and females for the kona sunset prior to even starting to breed with them.
