Critical dream star

Here's a cross between a sin city seed's buddha's dream male x 3 different delicious seed's critical sensi star females. I made these a year and a half ago and all beans popped within 48 hours. I did have all the beans separated by what plant they came off of but later decided to mix them all up for the fuck of it. Kind of regret doing that now, lol.

The three critical sensi stars were as follows.

#1 was sensi star dom. with huge fat fan leaves, squat growth and had an orangish fruity smell/flavor. This was the smallest producer and slowest vegger.

#2 Was much more sativa leaning and grew the fastest. It produced huge main colas that were a bitch to control mold in the humid summer. This was my favorite pheno once mold issues were under control. Huge buds that smelt like fruit loops and garlic.

#3 Was the farthest leaning sativa and it was the one that stretched like an OG and produced rock hard buds that yield much more than I had anticipated.

All in all the critical sensi stars were all keepers in their own ways but did lack that powerful kick in regards to potency. Extremely frosty but not as potent as the Buddha's dream females or the power kush I was running.
So hopefully the Buddha's dream will give the CSS a kick in the ass and bulk up yields.

Running eight beans, and will soon make a nine site dwc for them to veg. Cheers.

Word, my bro just got 5 critical sensi stars instead of critical super silver haze so the sent the CSSH and let him keep the CSS too, so I'll be scoring a couple of those off him to cross back to my CDS. I'll also hit a clone of my latest batch of Buddha's dream is I find a keeper.

The seedlings are doing well but not really worth time to upload picture, though I will once they have some nice leaves forming. Cheers.

Transplanted into their veg home. It's basically DWC with 3.75" cups. Veg them here till their put in their own bucket or possible NFT system, but I prefer to run only clones in the nft but we'll see. They should start going quicker now, cheers.

My thinking is if I can find a couple descent females and males in these 8 beans, then I'll find some real treasures in the pile I have left. I would like to get to at least 50-100 of these beans to find a unique pheno/mother and gift a lot of the remaining beans to club members and others, so the beans get used before they get too old. Cheers. seed.jpg

They're coming along nicely now, starting to look like I might have many from the same mother sensi, which happens to be CSS#2, the fruit loop/garlic pheno, that I purposely seeded more thoroughly because I liked the pheno. So far, these ladies appear to have taken their appearances from their mothers. We'll see soon in veg if the buddha's dream's vigor and strong growth come through. So far the seedlings are growing on par with their CSS mothers, when the CSS were seedlings.

That CSS#2 had these similar fan leaves when it was in seedling form. 4.jpg

he other pheno present is similar to CSS#1, which was very indica/sensi star dom. with broader leaves. I think these are similar to that CSS#1.

This little fellow is little off already, not sure if it got pinched or somehow stunted on one side or just stopped the symmetric growth pattern on its own.

Humidity is in 40-50 range, the tent is in the basement so humidity stays a little higher. These girls could have used some fertilizers sooner because I only watered with plain water from the beginning. I usually give a little bit less than 1/4 strength at around 7-9 days but I held off and girls got hungry. Once I put them in the dwc with 1/5 strength GH three part, they started to take off a little faster. I'll probably bump up nutes to 1/4 or 1/3 strength soon.

This is my first i havnt use, rockwool i believe that is. I could understand them needing nutes then, mine seems different smaller n bushy i guess.

I cant get a confirmation on this but sorry to ask, do you know why my leaves r yellow at bottom?

Typically plants yellow down low like that because they need nitrogen, but that could be fore different reasons. In your case I'd say there is a nutrient deficiency or toxicity causing nutrient lock out.

Do you use tap water, have you been fertilizing a lot/high dosages or not fertilized at all, and/or is it cold in your tent(below 65-68 at night), are you over watering or under watering?

I never really got a great handle on dirt before I moved into hydroponics. Typically in dirt I'm fine as long as the plant doesn't start getting sick then I have a hard time figuring out what to correct until damage is done. I've had many successful dirt grows but luckily nothing went wrong during those, the dirt grows that went bad yielded horribly.

Hope you get a handle on things. Cheers.

I gave it house and garden root excelurator beforr but not in the past week, I just started writing things down. Its never below 70 at night ( i have central air and a big window ((I live up north)) so I keep it betweem 81 and 70 lowest.) I need to water more at a time, I end up waterng every other day cuz my humidity cant get above 25/30

personally im going organic, Im very attentative with my ph meter in left hand ppm in theright but with soil it like doesnt matter or something. Im quite lost. Plants look good though, needed good wattering. Thanks for helping me man.

I feel you on the going organic. There is definitely a learning curve and if you want to brush up there are great threads here on RIU, like the recycled organic living soil ROLS thread. It's super long but has some great information in it. Cheers.

As I look at the seedlings tonight, I am 100% positive that these seedlings are Critical sensi star dom. They look nothing like the buddha's dream daddy for sure, which is what I was hoping for in a way. I want the short heavy yielding structure and faster flower times of the CSS and I would like flavor and potency from the BD. If I could bump up yield and give it a more potent high while adding that blue cherry haze in the mix, that would be ideal. The thing is I used a sativa dom. male for the cross but it appears the kids look like mom so far.

I'm changing the reservoir tomorrow and will bump nutrients level to about 2 or 3 ml per gallon of the GH three part.

So I ended up with five females and one possible male left, two males killed already. This first batch is just to see what the progeny would look like and so far I am pleased. I gifted my bro some seeds and he germinated them a couple days and all popped in 36ish hours. Depending on how these flower out I may just f2 these beans when I pop a most respectable number of them.
