Cree/Osram truck light bars for side lighting?

Granted the 6K temp wouldn't be ideal for all situations and this particular light bar has combo beams consisting of 18 at a 60 degree angle with the other 18 at 30 degrees but the form factor is pretty convenient for 126W and at $35 with a 1 year warranty, would these (or something similar) be worth experimenting with?
