Crazy mutant polyploid C99 plant - 6 leaves and side branches at every node

Hi everyone,

I'm growing out female seeds c99 in nft, with a large scrog net (2m x 1m).

Plants are flying - I'm probably going to flip in the next 5 days or so... I'm currently looking at choosing a plant to take my cuts from. 3/4 plants are very uniform in all aspects (from seed), the other is about the same size/leaf blade width/etc but is displaying some crazy mutations... Such as 6 leaves coming out of each node, and a side branch for every leaf - and, I would assume, come flower time, more bud sites!

So for every regular node on a vegging plant, where you could expect to find 2 leaves and 2 side branches, there are 6 of each. Some research points to this being a polyploid plant (Hexaploid?).

Does anyone have any experience in growing a polyploid plant to flower? From what I read vegging can be slower (not noticed anything major), THC production greatly increased, with also a possible increase in yield?

Any tips, hints or information would be greatly appreciated!

Here she is:

Also, if anyone has any tips on cloning from a polyploid - supposed to be much harder, but I can't seem to find a description of why its harder to clone, or how to clone. Thanks again for any help you can offer.

Bro, I have a chronic lights plant exactly the same. It's actually 2-3 main stalks fused together. I'm into day 4 of flower. It is hard as a rock at base and round 3/4 of the way up, it's bare like a tree, than there's 40 branches that pop out of top like a tree, like madussa's head of snakes. Super stinky and oily feeling, so far all calyx production, no Herm balls(bagseed) by the way, may have crossed with Soviet ripper in my buddy's room. Anyway, the head in the center is flat as a coin, wide as two fingers, and looks like broccoli. All surrounding branches look normal, except they come straight out around the top. I also fimmed the top early on, really had no effect, as was a mess to begin with. Tomorrow morning when the lights go on, I'll send you a current pic. It's way bigger and more cleaned up. I'll get good pics. I'm so curious as to how it will flower. If it does as normal, OMG, I don't know what I'm going to do, I'll have to tie strings to every point in my room because there's no symmetry like others. To weave between. You'll see.IMAG1651.jpg IMAG1649.jpg IMAG1647.jpg

Hi BusyBee,

I'm very interested to see more shots of your plant, and even more interested to see how it behaves in flower! Have you taken a cut?

Here's some updated pics, day 4 of 12/12 switch. Most my plants have calyx production beginning, tiny but visible, hairs should pop out in a couple days. And I'm psyched to find out that some cuts a buddy got me that we're labeled just orange, he called him and finally got hold of him, he said its" orange cookies," and one was "lost coast Og" I'm stoked as they are beautiful. Last pics will be the orange and Og.

Wanna hear something weird.. the bushy top poly is bagseed from a buddy. In same room as chronic lights, was Soviet ripper, white widow, and blue diesel. Well it could have been hit by any of them, or itself. The weed was good. Out of like 15 ozs he had, 3 seeds were found. Me, my other friend, and him. Two of the three seeds came from same bud, I split a cola with my buddy, my half had one so did his. Both seeds were poly's. He sucks at growing, so his never got cleaned up and pretty much strangled itself, and he killed it. Mine had been topped and tied down like all my monsters, but I noticed two main stems were shotty, one was massive, for being small, so I cut off other two stems, 1 one week, the other the next. Not to stress too badly. Well I then chopped her down to a fimed head, and 1 leaf. Check out its growth since. Because my buddy's got so choked up, I figured I'd experiment a bit. Science. Based on the first pic, you'd say man that looks great! But I only got so much space, and seeing what happened to my buddy's poly, I realized I was breeding a mammoth. I knew my best odds of success wit it indoor, would be to stunt it's growth in all directions, and work with the one top. Can you see the future ? I can, I see like 25 Yo yos on my ceiling, holding up a mega head of branches, with nothing but hand grenade buds on the top of lolipoped branches. Aaaa I can see it now.IMAG1187.jpg IMAG1197.jpg IMAG1189.jpg IMAG1391.jpg IMAG1196.jpg IMAG1418.jpg 14587296198501053272351.jpg

1459719552995-839731260.jpg this is her at day 15 flower. Two main branches, and like 24 single branches kept lolipoped for just heads. She is flowering like any other of my girls. She is virtually indestructible. Bagseed chronic lights x a possible 4 other strains. Soviet ripper, or W.W., or blue diesel or itself. She did not Herm after all that. I'm crossing my male berry white with everything I have. Lol. Can't wait. Playing with genetics is awesome.
