I actrually think a winter grow will be easier to maintain. The temps will be considerably lower, and hopefully the RH with it.

I have the a hydrofarm daystar reflector which is air cooled and works well, and have considered a cool tube, but why when you have to reflect the light above the bulb anyway (unless you position it creatively within the garden)... Thats my 2 cents, if I'm wrong though I'd be stoked to take advantage of a more efficient setup so I'm all ears if anyone has input...

Thanks for the input on the hood. I've been leaning towards a hood over a cool tube. Was hoping to hear pros and cons of both. :peace:

I'll show you what I'm working with so far..

I have 2 of these. The bulbs are questionable, but I'll be pulling and looking up the numbers from it. It worked well for my first grow.

I also have these 3 fixtures. The 5 bulbs are T12 grow lights, again I need to look them up as they were a gift.

And here we have my 600w ballast and bulb...

I was driving home about a week ago and had a panic attack, called 911 and was driven to the er. It was the first time that I had one and really knew nothing about them previously so was completely freaking out. Ever since I have still felt as if I wasn't breathing correctly (like my throat is closed up), and have had pains and tightness in my chest. I was just wondering if this was normal because I have talked to a few doctors and they said I was fine, I read up a little about panic attacks symptoms Any ideas?

I'd say you need to sit down and smoke a fat joint. Close your eyes and take long slow deep breaths. :eyesmoke:

I plan to add another one just like that. First I need to find the time for construction. I was planning to take tomorrow off of work but I can't. :-(

yo CPH, I spliffed, got to thinking about this, and I remembered my homie had a cooltube on his 1000w so I just called him and asked why he changed to a hood reflector. He said he missed the bigger footprint of the reflector, and venting it does a good enough job. Hope that helps with the pros and cons, obviously the cooltube is more efficient, but a hood has a larger footprint for the light and can be vented easily as well. Peace. Cant wait to see the rest of the grow. bongsmilie
