Couple Feeding Questions

I posted this in the Nutrients section but didn't get any help. Figured I'd post it here as well since this area gets more traffic.

Alright, so yesterday I ordered the Fox Farm triple pack that comes with Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom, and the Grow Big. And then I also ordered the Sledgehammer for flushing. My plant just started showing it's lady bits three days ago, and the fertilizers should arrive in about a week. So my first question is: will it be safe to start using the nutes as soon as I get them? I'm in soil (dug a two foot hole in the ground and filled with MiracleGro 21-4-7) and all I've been doing is watering the plant, and it's nice and healthy. Which leads to my next question(s): even though I haven't been feeding my plant nutes, should I start feeding it the recommended dosage on Farm Fox's feeding schedule, and even though it's not 12/12 out, should I start at the 12/12 section of the schedule because the plant is showing preflowers?

And one last question. Can I mix all of the nutes together in one gallon of water? Like, for instance, the first week of 12/12 calls for 3 tsp/gallon of Big Bloom, 2 tsp/gallon of Grow Big, and 2 tsp/gallon of Tiger bloom. So can I just take one gallon of water and add 3 tsp of Big Bloom, 2 tsp of Grow Big, and 2 tsp of Tiger Bloom, and then feed this mixture to my plant? Thanks for the help guys, I'm a noob when it comes to nutrients.

start @ like 60-75% of what they say....
i would start at the last week of veg minus 25%
that is how you make "nute soup"
you will run out of big bloom a lot...they make you use tons of it
there is no point to the flushing aid...water works just as well...
if you start @ 75% and plants look happy up it a bit the next week...

Thanks for the response, man! Should I water the plant like I normally would between feedings? I usually give it close to a gallon of water each day.

One thing to remember about the fox farm feeding schedule is, it's made for there soil not mircle grow soil. I wouldn't feed them ANY of the grow big at all. The tiger bloom has a enough nitrogen in it and the mg soil is loaded with nitrogen. The last thing you want to do is burn your plants. I would start with half dose of tiger bloom and go from there. If your plants respond well to it then up it to 3/4 then to full strentgh. Keep an eye on the tips of the leaves and the color.

Thanks, man! That's good to know. I wasn't sure if I should use the Grow Big; I'm glad you confirmed my suspicions. I figured I'd just get the triple pack though and I can always use the Grow Big for the next grow. I only got one plant this summer so I don't expect to run out of nutes (I actually have two plants, but my second one is just so damn small, bad genetics I think. I'll be lucky to get a 1/2 zip off her).

Here's one other question though: How long after feeding would the plant start showing signs of nute burn if it did get burned?

By the next day, tip will curl under and then turn brown

how long has your girl been in the mg soil? which mg soil specificaly is it. is it slow release?
mg soil will typicaly say on the bag how long the nutes in it will last. if it is slow release you may not show signs of nute burn right away and could end up with a rather nasty surprise.
be careful and start with a very diluted dose and build up. you can always flush if things get bad, but better to not get to that point at all.

I appreciate all the tips, guys. No doubt I would have killed my little ladies without your advice, haha.

Erm, I'd have to go look at the bag. I will do that and get back to you. I believe it was just MG Potting Mix. I don't believe it was time release... but I could be wrong. My plant has been in the ground with that MG potting mix since June 4th, and thus far has showed no sign of nute burn.

I looked at the packaging just now and didn't see anything about time release.

The bag said I should start feeding it 30 days after planting it in MG potting mix. So that leads me to believe even if it was slow release, that it's long past that, otherwise the bag wouldn't tell me to start feeding after 30 days.

Yeah, I believe it doesn't last that long....well from what I've heard. I personally use Kellogg Patio Plus so I most definitely could be wrong. Also I thought we were speaking of this soil

Well my bag does say, "Miracle Gro Potting Mix," just like that, haha, so fuck man I don't know. Like I said, I looked it over, and I feel pretty confident in my reading abilities, and I didn't see anything about time release.

edit: upon closer inspection of that photo, my bag does not have the "feeds plants up to 6 months" logo on it.

Hahaha, you guys have been very helpful.

I'll slowly ween my plants into the nutes, and check them vigilantly for nute burn. I think I got it down, thanks to you all.
