County Line Genetics (CLG) - 4th Gear - Batch 22

I am starting two 4th Gear seeds from County Line Genetics this afternoon. I don't have a ton of information on them (including even if they are Sativa or Indica), but this should be interesting.

I will be growing in coco with MegaCrop nutrients. No additives other than base MC will be added. Light will be LED (HLG QB 288 V2).

The seeds look well developed. After the initial 8 to 16 hour soak in PHed water, I will be transferring them to paper towels to let the taproot develop a bit more.

NOTE: The seeds were not shipped in the glass bottle. That's just how I store my seeds.

It looks like one of the two seeds dropped isn't throwing a taproot. I will give it a bit more time int he paper towel before calling it on that one. The second seed has dropped a taproot and will be transplanted to coco tonight.

Good news... the second seed did end up throwing a taproot and both have been placed in coco.

I was gifted some testers from batch #24. Watching this one to see what you get before dropping them Secret Santa gave me a few testers to choose from, so I'll pick a different mystery to start on

I have a single plant of the 4th gear going in a 10-gallon pot with companion plants waiting for space in the flower tent. Keeping my fingers crossed its a female

Plants are doing fine. Nothing really to report at this time. The coco on top looks really dry because it is... I just topped off the pots, but everything below that is soaked.

The 4th gear plants are going strong. They were transplanted in to 5 gal pots today.

They are growing well. I am doing a bit of training and I topped both of them.

The plants are going nice and strong. They are getting big rather quickly.

When are you planning on flipping these to flower? Both look uniform and super healthy.

I just flipped them last night. I had to move my auto to another tent. But all the other plants in that room were ready.

The plants are officially on 12/12 now. I culled one of the autoflower plants that was in the same tent and moved the autoflower that is part of the 1 Auto Seed Challenge comp, to a new location. As you can tell from the pictures, the CLG 4th Gear plants are the two on the right still. I have to say, I am impressed with the uniformity and health so far. No tip burn or anything. Only issue I have really had with the CLG plants is when my PH pen was glitching and told me the wrong PH. They ended up getting about 5.0 PH water, which caused some PH burn, but that was my fault for not double-checking it. They recovered very well in a couple days and as you can see, the only residual evidence is some minor tip burn and a couple rusted leaves.

Any updates on these, I'm about to start my run on the new forum.

I will try to grab some pics and upload tonight. They are both showing pistils now.

I actually had to bring them down. I will start a new one in the near future and at the same time, do an HLG v HGL v CMH comparison grow, all with 4th gear.

I will say that I was VERY impressed with how consistent they were. They looked like clones almost. If they are as consistent the second time... I’ll definitely be ordering more.
