I had a fan blowing at my plants 24/7, and I got a bunch of wind burn...since then I just rely on the negative pressure created by the extractor fan for air movement. Seems to work fine in my setup. When temps climb too high, growth slows and eventually stops. Clearly not the desired effect... Keep temps around 24C during the day and around 18C at night.
I've run two fans 24/7 with no ill effects for years & through many grows.

Heat on the other hand above 85 degrees will slow down growth unless using Co2 IMO I think that at 90 degrees growth stops even with Co2, maybe not totally with Co2 but pretty much stops none the less. I know what others say but even with Co2 I think that after 90 it all stops...but thats just my experience, I have had some strains go a little hotter without to many problems but the ultimate goal is to never get to that point.

metabolism shuts down when temperatures get too high. same with too low.

Pot grows wild in places that have temps of 100F. I have been told by other BC growers that the main reason they keep the temp at 80F is to keep down spidermite population. Fan are nessesary to keep the air from stagnating. Positive air exchange is a must for healthy plants. Radial fans are good for the canopy when the lights are on and small computer fans are great for creating a small breeze when the lights are off as this will aid in controling PM.

I'll also point out the millions of pot plants growing in jamaica, africa, india, china, etc. that experience days, weeks, even a month or more at a time with daytime temps reaching 95+ temps.

I have always noticed that plants getting full fan all the time are generally unhealthier than others. Especially right by the fan it's just dries them out IME. They grow different too because of the wind resistance kind of like LST. I do it when I have to but try to avoid it.
When my temps get high my plants dry out faster like the fan 24/7. The leaves become brittle and crispy and sometimes burn completely. Heat stressed plants will be more likely to grow male flowers, stretch, foxtail, or stop growing all together. 85 degrees isn't too bad though, I'm sure plenty of strains prefer things a bit on the hotter side and if you can introduce CO2 to them they will benefit greatly from it.

I leave mine on 24/7 , my night temps only register 68-70 , if they were mad low then i wouldnt ... but id rather have air around my leaves and buds as much as possible .. daytime is from 79-85 ... 85 is a lil on the high side but then again ive ripped some killer buds down at that temp.

if the fans are drying the water out of the leaves faster than the plant can regenerate it they will die /dry out
