Hey there, my first post, greetings everybody! I would like to try growing some vegetables, I've got a tangle in my brain concerning changing the res water:

:arrow:When the root's are drooping deep down, and you pull the cover up, is it going to :oshock the plant as the root's are :shock:seeing light??- also, would the best idea be to place the cover with the plants/roots/rockwool in another container with ph balanced water (or fresh tap water??) while attending to changing the reservoir?:?

Thanks in advance, for the info I believe you amazzing growers will show me

You are fine dude. When I change my res, I four hooks and bungee cords that hook into little holes that I have drilled in the top of my container, suspending it in midair.

Plants LOVE an occasional shot of oxygen (think aero systems), so them being out of the water isn't an issue.

You want to avoid prolonged exposure to light though, don't go over 5-10 minutes.

You will be fine.

Promise.

:-Pthanks, that just about clears up any doubt, how are the 3 stock aero-pro lights that come with it? 2700k maybe for flowering, wattage?:dunce:

:clap:I seen people do this +rep, so +rep if you can answer this next one, do you think it will be alright from heat/light if I got it all taped up in reflective tape? my last vegetables died from root rot, got so hot inside and light was in there, going to keep close eye on temps

Which Aerogarden do you have? The old pro 200 is the best (IMO) a drip system. The new ones seem to all have an air stone only, more of a pain to add drip than bubbles. I added a "4 inch bubbler into the res and use 1ml gold zone in it (helps fight root rot) and use aluminium tape to cover the black top.

I got the one with 3 lightbulbs, at about 30-40watts each, I know its above 100 but under 120. extends up to like 3ft from the base or something, 4ft including res or so
Got external pump and airstone hooked up in it
