Could this be from low humidity (pics)

I struggle with my humidity levels. I can never get it above 40% most of them time its at 35% with the temp around 75 F. I visited my local hydro shop today and the guy said the problems I've been having with my plants could be from low humidity. I was thinking mag deficient but epsom salts didnt help. THen I was thinking nute burn but I only had them at 800ppm and I'm in week 4 so I dont think so...but maybe? The big fully grown leaves turn yellow starting at the tip and margins and then get more yellow till they dry out and turn to a crisp and die. THe margins turn upwards before they die. PH at 5.8. light 20 inches away 600 hps. Could all my probs be cause the humidity is too low?

then what is the problem....every time I grow I have this problem with leaves drying out and dying. I didnt even use that much nutes this time. Am I deficient? I really don't get it.

what kind of nutes are you using? you should try keeping the ferts at about 400ppm for a while. make sure your ph balancing your solution....5.5 I cant imagine what the problem is...do you let your roots dry out sufficiently? I just use a dwc. I let the roots hang in water with bubblers and make sure they get plenty of air and their netpots stay dry.
