correlation between bud density and time in veg?

this thread is fairly self explanotory... any correlation between bud density and time in veg? im not talking number of bud sites, just the actual plant matter involved in the existin bud sites..

ive noticed a few 3-4 week veg's that have returned airy buds, even under hps.. anyone used same setup for different veg periods on same seed/clone?

ill start;
i like to veg for 6-8 weeks from seed. not used clones yet... nice dense buds under 600w hps, more airy under my eco-light but taste just as nice..

any thoughts?

I think it may just be a difference between strains because the density of the buds is linked to intensity of lights used during flowering.

cheers buddha, this is what i did think. but im interested to know if anyone has used the same seeds with diff veg times under same conditions... veggin 6-8 weeks with another 8-12 weeks flowerin takes a long fucking time but the final buds are very nice and crunchy. you reckon 4 weeks veg under same conditions can provide same density?

Veg wont have to much an effect on the bud desity as its the hps spectrum that effects the buds.Light intensity during flower is what determines the buds desity. MH light is best to get good bud sites ready during veg then flipping to hps for your 12/12 with good bulbs is the bud density factor. If you have a good hps but a crap bulb your wasting time and money make sure the bulb is good name known for growing dont buy a phillips at homedepot thinking they are all the same.Check the lumens and make sure you have good air flow as they plays a big factor also.
