CORRECT Water type makes a difference!

Hey Folks,

I was having problems with my cuttings producing these ugly looking leaves, stems turning purple, and simply taking too long to look like good clones. Funny thing was, my present grow is from cuttings but like I just described above, they took forever before they were ready for flowering. After much research I realized I was having a Calcium lockout issue. I used the House and Garden foiler spray, but the problem was kinda lurking around. I asked some fellas at a shop and ALL of them chimed in and said, "Your water is bad!" hmmmm, I pH the water. I leave it (tap water) standing for a minimum of 24 hours...what's the problem. "That process gets rid of the chlorine but promotes a Cal/Mag lockout. You need distilled or R/O water!!"

That floored me but was enlightening all the same. No wonder my cuttings look so crappy!!! So, I changed and will see what they look like in a week. Today is day 36 of flowering. Here are some pics of my Mazar followed by Bubblegum. If you have any words of advice, please share. Also, what about ozinating the water?? Let's see if my ladies respond to the treatment.

Good Luck with your grows!

but also i have different plants -next to the one which has purple stems- have green stems. so i dont think it is because of water . if yes then why my other plants are all green?

Has the feed that you are feeding at present been mix in advance and left tostand or are your plants reciveing feed that you are makeing up has the plants need it.if the feed has been standing around then i would say that this is more likely to be the problem with the mixes ph fluxing up and down.there is no need to buy in water unless you live somewhere like africa or some 3rd world country tap water is good has long has ph is right.
