I was wondering atm I got

2 65w CFL bulbs
4 23w CFL bulbs

there all 2700k , when my plant starts to enter veg state do I needa change up the lights to 6500k or would the plants be fine in 2700k

need some feed back

money isnt to tight either so I wouldnt mind going out to buy some new bulbs thanks

yeah, you def want to get a majority of 6500k bulbs while vegging, 2700k cfls would take forever to veg and would prob result in a shitty plant.

u can get 23watters 5000k @home depot just scope the boxes, and yeah it would only benifit you by gettin some bulbs with a higher kelvin rating

2700k for veg wood make yer plants strech really bad use "daylight"or "coolwhites" for veg and she'll be nice and bushy

When there in veg state you do need 6500k-5000k for good foliage and close nodes, at 2700k GeeTee is right, your plant's would stretch, and would also not promote thick foliage. Leave 2700k in there with more 5000-6500k's (cool whites-daylights), mix the lights in about a 30/70 ratio for full spectrum lighting leading to maximum growth. Do just 6500k if you strongly want the closest nodes and thickest foliage without utmost concern about growth speed.

Wrong bulbs buddy. When plants are young (veg stage) u need 6500K daylight/cool white bulbs.

When plants get older (flower/bloom stage) you will need 2700K warm bulbs.

That and you may do 18-22 hours of light a day in veg. 24 is doable but may stress the plant, plants like rest too.:leaf:

alright thanks for the quick feedback

Im thinking about copping 2 65w CFL 6500k bulbs , so it would be ok just too add them to the already lighting I have and that would be enuff or should I just swap all the bulbs to 6500k

i use all coolwhites for veg keeps em nice and short + bushy. and wen u switch to flower they'll stretch anyways

ehhh I just checked I cant find any local store that has 40+ watt not equiv watts for 4100k and above :[

and wtf every bulb on walmart site says not in stores

yeah sometimes those big curly cfl's are hard to find at Wally World. If you can't the big ones get more smaller ones.

yeah I do but im currently on the walmart site and it says none of the bulbs are sold in the store so if I go take a trip over there they shuld have 40watt CFL bulbs correct? 6500k?

don't go by the website they're never accurate. i bought some 45W cfl daylight bulbs at Wal-Mart. they are the BIG HUGE curly mother fuckers. they are much bigger than your regular bulb.

if they don't have those...just get the highest wattage of "daylight/cool" cfl bulbs that u can.
