If Biden wins the Democratic nomination even with all the trolling being done about him, he will walk over Trump easily.

Overall, I agree with you, but the analogy has problems. Biden doesn't just have to save the game by being elected, he has to govern for the next four years and do so well enough to get us past the threat of a Trumpist Republican Party that will be screaming out inflammatory tweets the whole time in a way that no past President ever has. This threat will not end after the election.
I hear ya.

First, we haven't had anyone actually 'govern' since Jan. 2017. Somebody has to remove 4 yrs. of bullshit executive orders and replace them with their own.
Unless we can win a few senate seats, Mitch McConnell will sit on everything that gets there so actual 'governing' amounts to executive orders these days.

Second, Biden will need a young VP (who may have to take over, nobody lives forever). He may actually be planning for 4 yrs. only.

Third, there's an overdue recession coming. It could be worse than the 2008 crash and the debt hasn't leveled off since the '08- '09 stimulus packages, especially after Trump's ridiculous tax cuts for wealthy people and corporations. If it's bad enough, both outgoing Trump and incoming whoever could both be damaged. This is a result oriented society now, it's no longer 'ask not what your country can do for you', now it's 'I want everything and I want it yesterday'.

Fourth, Trump's tweets out of power will be a joke. Is he going to want to see the new president's birth certificate? And the new 2021 justice dept. should be turned loose on Trump. Keep him busy in court till he cracks up. Fuck him. Max accountability.

And don't under estimate the drive for 'change'. It got Trump in, albeit through the back door by under 80,000 votes in 3 states. Those 3 states will want change again only this time with a bigger turnout.

2018 was a big hint towards 2020.
I think 55% of the electorate would vote for a tree over Trump. 53.9% didn't vote for him last time, how hard can it be? There isn't going to be 2 flukes in a row and I guarantee that Trump could run 20 times and never win the popular vote.

Maybe he will criticize the POTUS for an occasional game of golf. It will still get traction with Republicans.

And the electoral college could see him lose by 5-6% in the popular vote and still win.

Also, Rizzo's fucking ankle!

My money's on the republicans wishing they had a better candidate come Nov. 2020.

In 2016 they both had more negatives than positives.

And I have this vision of a Democrat attack ad just using clips of Trump talking.

With the republicans using the same clips with a ballerina spin. It's not going to work this time. To 55%-60% of the people, Trump's lies and rhetoric aren't going to work.

I wish I could design some ads.

Picture this, raging wildfires in the background, a guy firing an AR-15, a few lie clips with Putin, a group of women and porn stars saying 'we were molested', and a deep voice like James Earl Jones asking, 'are you better off than you were 4 years ago? Really?'

I want to make some ads.

Rizzo will be back in time.

I think the Republicans are fully purged so that only Trumpets remain.

The Dem ads should intersperse Trump bring shots.

Yeah, Rizzo will be back, in April.

They will distance themselves from Trump right after he loses, they've already started behind closed doors.

Ernie Banks played 20 yrs. without getting hurt. They were tougher in the '50's and '60's and he played every game most years, no rest required. "Let's play two."

I think Biden has least chance of being the tree that they vote for, but also giving him the senate/house instead of splitting the ticket.

And he can take the shit storm that will be in the face of the next president and let people untainted by however far/wide this foreign meddling mess goes, run to lead the Democrats (edit: and Republicans) in 2024.

And it will be funny to see a judge slap a gag order on Trump.

Anyone who wants this chaotic nightmare to last another 4 years just likes Chaos.

Our World is not better now, it's getting worse by the minute, and Trump is good why ?

At what point do we say enough is enough ? This Man, if you can call him that. has done nothing but put the world back 50 years and start shit he can't finish.

For one, people that think the end of the world is a good thing because they get to live in heaven. Especially when you believe the 'other' side murders babies.

I have a Technics Direct Drive SL-Q6. No tone arm though, it has linear tracking, and the "needle" is in the cover.

I still have about 200 albums from the 60's and 70's.

I also have my portable tape case that has 36 8-track tapes in it.

I have a SL-L25 that's needed a belt since the kids were about 3.

One day, but now I must get the 1st Born's crib up to him in Washington for his first one. Life keeps happening.:D

I have around 500 LP's from the '60's into the early '80's. Many are pristine, all are in superb shape.

And a Technics turntable with a short in the tone arm so bad the 'pops' would blow a speaker.

And the guy who used to fix them went out of business and moved to Fla.

Very disappointing, like to find one some day. Carver power amp still works.

You should be able to fix that locally. I know a guy here, but call around to a used stereo place near you.
