Corelation between dark times and feeding frequency in veg?

Hey RiU community, has anyone noticed an increase in a plants feeding needs when given more dark during the veg cycle? I've noticed that on 24/0 I dont have to start feeding as soon or as often as 20/4. I have to start feeding even sooner and more often on 18/6 than 20/4. I've been noticing this trend on all my runs across different genetics. Anyone else notice the same?

Stands to reason. More time with light equals more heat equals more evaporation...

I would understand that. But it's when I have a longer dark period that my plants are hungrier.

Think about a maple tree. Sap runs at night. Hence... it is pulling moisture up to its leaves and flowers so that in the morning, all that moisture will protect the leaves from drying out during the warmer more humid day. So it drinks more nutrients during the night than day so if you don't let it sleep at all, you are missing out on a vital part of its life cycle
