I currently use 600W( about 400w actual power used for lighting) and a few 700w Led's, the 700's cost me about 800 a piece, msrp is like $1000. its fucking expensive, but it reduces the need for ballasts, heat controls since the led's hardly give off any heat, so you can use less power for air conditioning and more for air filtering/lighting. its expensive but when the copters fly overhead and see 1 room in a house glowing, it gets them a hard-on. heat is a big issue, smell is a big issue, price you pay for led's is minimal to getting caught.

ALOT of meter readers around Memphis get high. I'm just sayin', I'm friends with mine... LOL! But, we totally went to high-school together, so it's not like I was outside everytime my meter reader came by and somehow weirdly be-friended him or anything... I guess you might just call my situation good luck... And, if your grow is small enough, like 1K or less, then I wouldn't really worry about it too much... If you had to run some 6-3 or 4-3 NM cable to your op for the light board and stuff, you may want to dial it down a few thousand watts, if you have a smart meter...
