Cooling requirements for 6 1000w hids

I’ve got a 15k btu window ac that works well with 4 but I plan on running 6 next time and I’m not sure that’s enough especially since I do dwc and have to keep res temps in check. Should I upgrade to an 18k-24k btu unit or should I be fine with the 15k if I'm also running central air?

Without searching I want to say 3.8btu per watt (I could be wrong). That would put you at the 24k btu option for lighting alone, de humidifier, pumps, fans all require more btu to cool as well. That would also be SE bulbs. I would definitely be looking at more then 15k if it was me, being unable to cool a room at it’s worse could take out or really reduce quality, been there. This is all theory because I haven’t run more then a few hids at a time, but using that 4ish btu per watt has been pretty accurate for me. My de humidifier throws a lot of heat, a old 70 pint, it’s 750 watts, I pretty much count it as a 1k hid. You not using a chiller?

Newer dehumidifiers are alot more efficient, I just had to replace an old one and this new 70pint/day model puts off next to no heat at 500w and is much lighter too. But yeah I was thinking I'd need a bigger unit, just hoping not too

I’m going to have to bite the bullet and grab something newer, this one is from 2002. I figured if I ever needed more cooling on the fly, I would find a dual hose portable and hole saw the wall. I’m running a 8k btu window shaker I took apart and sealed/light proofed, it’s barely enough, it wouldn’t be enough in summer temps without cooling outside the room, it’s a sealed room but ambient obviously puts a load on the room too. It runs a lot and I’m running a 1k DE and a 600mh, it’s been maintaining about a 82-85 lst and I run about 1200ppm of co2. I would overkill the cooling capacity, especially running 6k of hid. Have you looked into mini splits? How big is the room?

11.5ft x 13.5ft, can't do a mini split since I'm renting. Rooms going to be sealed and running co2. Right now I've got 4 lights in there and it's doing great sitting around 73° no co2 yet but since I'm disabled I'm always home so between me and the cats in this 800sqft house I'm sure it's at pretty high ambient levels.
