Cooling my lights...

Hey guys, I bought my lights from HTG supply as you probably know they aren't air coolable reflectors, so I hung a couple of fans up beside them to keep temps down and let me get my lights closer to the plants. The fans are high powered Vornado fans so the blow a little on the top of the plants and I hear constant air flow on the plants is bad. I noticed on some reflectors that are air coolable, they have a glass sheet under the light, between the plants, so I want to setupa 4ft glass screen under my lights that way the fans can be on high right over the lights to make them super cool, without blowing on my plants. before I did this I just wanted to make sure the glass wouldn't eat my light or lumens or anything like that?? I figure it wont, but i'd rather make sure and be safe than sorry, below is a pic of what im talking about... Thanks for the knowledge...

I have an oscillating fan man, thats not what im asking... I don't want to setup a bunch of cool tubes spending a bunch of money I don't have... He says in that post it costs a little under 100 bucks, I have 3 lights so im not about to spend 300 dollars if I can just set the glass right under the lights....

I just want to know if will work without eating any light or lumens or whatever...

yeah that could help big time i have a light with a glass and ive wonderd the same about the glass taking full potential of the light but you have 3 lights i dont think youll have a problem the heat above the glass will be hot as long as you have good venting id go for it somtimes you just gotta work with what you got, looks like a sweet setup bro goodluck

the glass may block some uvb light crucial for thc production during flower. fans constantly blowing on the plants is a good thing. what you have to worry about is low humidity during veg. maybe you'd be better off ditching the reflectors all together and growing colliseum style.

Can anyone confirm or disprove this please? Thanks again!

I been looking into some reflectors and alot of the air coolable ones have glass under the light closing off the reflector, so how would a glass sheet be any different?? I just don't get how it would block anything??

Get your plants to close together colisuim style and your asking for BUDROT better have good circulation going on.
