Hi all,

I have just bought a 6inch clip on fan to go at one end of my Magnum XXXL hood, and ducting running from the other side to exit the tent (DR 150). I've run out of funds for now so cant afford an inline fan just yet .I'm wondering if this will suffice for now? I have a 600watt HPS.

I have also just bought an oscillating tower fan iGenix DF3000, to go in the corner of my tent, is that ok?

The components are nearly all together now and ready to start putting together and growing, I've ordered my beans and am relying on you guys as you have so much already to give me anymore tips or critique.....
Its been a long slog. Where I live there are no hydro shops and I have to order everything online and then it sits in customs when it gets here. I had to pick up my XXXL from the customs Dept!!!

Thanks guys.
Peace out.

i am not familar with a clip on fan. i assume its a fan made for your hood that clips on and vents the heat out.

all i can see with a clip on fan is this small clip on desk fan that wont work lol.

i would set everything up and test run it without any plants and monitor your temp.

This it, its 6", the same as the inlet/outlet's of my XXXL. http://www.igenix.co.uk/products/6103 . I think your right to go do a dry run first. I've done my nuts on this set-up and I know I'm gonna be broke for a while now, and I'm trying to cut corners.

Thanks again smoke and coke, your a great help.

i think your going to need a better fan than the clip on.

i dont like those booster fans from home depot, just not strong enough.

i took a stanley blower and modified it to work with 6" ducting and has worked for 6 grows.

my next fan will be an inline fan.

that is legit. nice man

Thats a great idea. And I just found a place in the UK where I can order them online from, or I can try and hold out for an inline, http://www.hydroponics.co.uk/Ventil...nmental/Fans-and-Extraction-Kits/Vents-TT-Fan . I just got laid off from my job and spent the last of my disposable income I could afford on this little project. My beans were the final purchase, Super Lemon Haze if your interested.
Anyways, I 'll do a dry run and check the temps for a day or so and see if I'm happy, If not, then I'll wait till I am.

Thanks Guys, appreciated.
