Give HTG a call you can get a 600 watt air coolable DIGITAL for 50 buck cheaper. Haggle with them, they have been know to cut a deal. It took a few extra days for my ballest to come in so they threw in a MH conversion bulb for FREE. :grin:

if it is air cooled with the glass shield just put a 4in. duct fan on it ducted out of the room and you should be able to pretty much touch the lamp without burn. No problem with heat that way.

I would hang a 4inch carbon filter from the ceiling and connect your duct to it going to your light, then another duct going from the other side of your light up and out of the grow room. That way you vent the heat and get rid of the smell with the same fan. calculate your sq ft of the room and times it by three and that is the CFM that you need for the fan. Id do that for starts.

i bought a stanly floor fan, you want the type with a squirl cage in it. I have a 6inch aluminum "smoke stack" on a duct leading to the top of a parabolic reflector. 600 wats in a closet and it 77degrees. you can stuff the aluminum (it looks like a sleanky on steroids. I got 2 stunted plants with Dank nbuggets its just a miniature. I got 10 jock horror seeds in and they are super small, what yall think about that, should i get feminized ones.

:hump: yes ....exactley what he said.......400w isnt hard to cool at all........and shop around.you can find a better deal....like the guy said above htg isnt bad at all to deal with.....
