for $500 you could buy about 10 packs of Bodhi seeds and get 5 freebies (180 seeds) from JBC seeds. I recently grabbed Purple Soul, Purple Lush, Peach Hashplant, Gelato x 88G13HP, Grape Pie x 88G13HP, & Purple Punch x Wookie... all Bodhi genetics.. just this past week and I spent about $220 total including shipping. Its money better spent.

They aren’t selling the steak, they’re selling the sizzle. These aren’t “interesting times” you are all susceptible to paying too much for dumb shit, whether it is seeds or something else. I didn’t realize Bodhi is cookies new “director of genetics.” I guess they have bottlenecked their cookie menu so much with the same flavor of the week hybrids, they need Bodhi’s vault of diversity to give them a new marketing edge. I hope Bodhi is careful in all of this and even gets his own legal guidance to protect his life’s work…

I dont think the "industry" is interested in education, they see bodhi as a guy who is working with genetics that no one else has and cookies knows they can capitalize on that.

I have a different perspective on this.. I think that Bodhi's presence will be a good thing for cannabis biodiversity in the long run, and that's a good thing for all of us.

I'm interested in what Bodhi will put out but that 1st collaboration with Berner ain't it! Nothing about that pack says strain diversity or all that other jazz he was saying in the post. Not all of us grow cookies & hype stuff only, I'm hunting landrace & chucking too Bodhi lol

I liked the persona that bodhi has portrayed but I haven't bought a pack of bodhi in probably 7 years because he's still using the same studs and you can only grow so many wookie/appy,hashplant, SL crosses. This probably won't change that because I've never bought cookie because they are too expensive lol

What do you think Bodhi's cut of the $500 gear is? I'm guessing not 50% and I wouldn't be surprised if Cookies uses Hollywood Accounting. "Sorry, we lost money on those packs and you still owe us for the marketing."

this^ Bodhi definitely has more diversity than a lot of other breeders but a lot of his stuff uses the same males. I love his 88g13HP and wookie crosses. I still have a few buddies talk about the goji og cut that my friend found running a bunch of goji seeds- this strain is legendary and a bitch to trim..I ran this pheno and on top of looking great with amazing terps, it got you so lifted. The potency was fire.. a great daytime smoke that gave you this creative energy without any anxiety, was some happy feeling bud.
Figure this has to more do with cookies kind running the well dry with all the cookies/gelato genetics..you can only release so much of the same thing or similar before it gets redundant. Also I'm sure berner has people around him that let him know who is really respected in the weed breeding seed game and bodhi is definitely one of those people...bodhi could bring a bit of legitimacy to their brand. Thing is bodhi is known for also having great prices, you can get a pack of regs $45, I'm sure this collaboration will be super taxed but I have noticed bodhi releasing some untested work that has gelato 41, grape pie and a few other cookie type crosses for cheap. I'm sure bodhi has like a holy grail of a seed vault collection he hasn't ever released. Makes me remember I wanted to run bodhi's space monkey in 23'.

I mean, I'm not sure what is and isn't a hype strain but having Zkittlez in your first cross and saying "zero relation to any hype strains... imagine that?" seems a bit disingenuous. Everybody and their grandma has Z crosses.
