Continuous Bin Grow

Hi rollitup!

I started with spacebuckets

and just kept on going. Now I have this

The bin in the centre containers a carbon filter and mixed flow fan. The exhaust from the fan travels downwards into a muffled area, this also cools the 12V power supply for the side lighting.

Each lid contains a single Cree CXA3070 @ 1800mA and 8 x 10W LED bulbs. The bins are lined with foil tape and 10 metres of 7020 LED strip.

They're in hempy buckets and fed by the feed bottle.

This is my Liberty Haze 26F

Louis XIII OG 26F

this one has a spacer fitted

There's a few more but they're not much to show.

On the left is how the ventilation system used to work, how it now functions is on the right.

I have had a lot of fun building and maintaining this. It's far exceeded my expectations.

It's a hobby of it's own

As long as the yield is enough for needs and the potency meets expectations then it looks like a good hobby to have! Looks like a pretty sick setup bro!

I got 80g from my last harvest but it was much smaller than the two I've got in flower at the moment. I'm hoping for >100g from those.

Hempy buckets and doubling the light volume will do that.

Can you walk me thru exactly what I'm looking at? So I gather these are typical trash cans...55 gallon maybe?
The lights you have on the interior...what's going on there?
I think I understand what you're doing with the lids...what happens when they get too tall for the lid like your last picture shows? Are they getting enough light from within that you no longer need the lid or how do you handle that?

What kind of container are the plants in and how do you water them?

Sorry for so many questions but your design is intriguing.

The lights on the interior are the 7020 led strip lights.

I'm guessing from the hps glow in a couple pics that he hangs a hps over the two flowering when they outgrow the lid.

The plants are in a hempy bucket and he was a feed bottle attached to the side of the bins.

Got all of that just by reading through what op posted.

So the bins are 60L bins but the lids afford another 17. Inside are LED strips. High power and wired into short segments. As for the height I've had to remove the spacer that I had to improvise.

I hadn't had any problems with height during my soil grows. But these two are the first to be grown in hempy buckets and they've grown much more vigorously.

The container is a 12L hempy bucket. Perlite with some vermiculite. Feed via the bottles hanging from the side. They drain into the hempy and the waste is evaporated.

Spot on with the strips but most of the light is generated by a single 3000k CXA3070 LED.

Very cool man. Probably the most innovative and unique design I've seen. Kudos to you and good luck!
